Largest Tires with AHC- slee override + diff drop

I tried searching but couldn't find the answer. If I want to keep the AHC for the time being and run the ach override and also install the diff drop am I able to run 33's or 35s?? This rig will only see lite trails..

Mine has 265/70/18 (32.6) with normal AHC setting's. I'm sure you can run 275/70/18 (33.2) even on normal setting.

so would 35s fit on the hi setting??

I run a 275/70-18 duratrac on stock AHC. It's perfect. I would think you could run a 35 in the slee override mode, heavy articulation may get you some rubbing. I'm glad I didn't lift mine any higher with the AHC override. I have a very comfortable ride and travel in the Normal setting and can lift to High when needed. Perhaps I would consider putting 35's on if and when the AHC fails and is replaced with regular suspension but I'm personally very happy with this combination keeping driveline geometry at a safe operating range.

Is the ride going to change appreciably if running in Hi mode?? I thought the ride should be similar... just a difference in ride height?? Anyone running the slee override + diff drop and 35s? I don't want to remove the ACH now as its just too much of a project with other things going on. eventually when the ACH goes ill pull it out... This is the :princess: truck so no heavy offroading is not happening. and yes SHE wants the 35s...

Thanks for the input everyone!!!! The 275s look good.

It's killing me...

ACH = Active Control Height (makes no sense)

AHC = Active Height Control (correct)

I hate to be that guy, but the more you know...

Can fully stuff and still use full steering lock without rubbing on 34x10.50's all day long...

For reference beside 285/75R16 A/T:

that looks good! i rode with 33s on my lx450 and felt they looked a tad small. the 35s look perfect IMO. for the lx470 i told my GF to go 33snto make it simple but shes not having it after driving mine... the 34s may be a good compromise.

Selection is limited in 34" tires. Not sure you're gonna dig the ride of TSL's...

Looking for something like a cooper STT, Duratrac or agressive looking AT tire. yeah TSLs are probably not going to be the best option. She likes the MT look:D but this rig won't be seeing any real offroading for a few years...

so if 34s fit.. will 35s?? Anyone running a similar setup?

sorry... 2000uzj answered that... anyone with pics or running this setup? Things to consider or worry about?

That looks really nice!!!!

She is getting an 06 cypress pearl lx470 and will be adding a TJM T13 (integrated light bar), 35s, blacked out wheels.. ill probably end up stealing it:grinpimp:

I say research the 35s before you just pull the trigger and think they'll fit without any issues. They might, but I'm almost positive you're going to have to do more mods than just a lift.

That was the point of the thread. To get input/insight from the guys that have already tried this or run it this way for awhile.. It seems like atleast one person has run it this way, another with 34s on normal setting, and 2000 uzj said they will fit.

If you or someone else has conflicting info. please post up. Other posts telling me to do more research aren't helpful and make the thread longer than need be. Im trying to consolidate info in one place so the next guy that asks this question will have a definite yes or no.

Im giving Christo a call later today anyway to ask about this and order some parts so I will post his recommendations also.

Im not worried about banging on a little sheet metal, trimming, spacers, etc.

From what I have seen it might be necessary to trim the stock front bumper, but you said you are going aftermarket - so probably no worries there. This is for 35s

295/75/16s. No rubbing at all in N mode. 35s would likely rub without some mods.
