What are everyone's plans for the long weekend? Anyone going to a beach? Anyone going camping?
 
hell yeah i'm going camping... I've done the same trip for the last 6 years
 
Laura has Sunday and Monday off. We were thinking of kicking it at the beach. Not sure where to go though. Some place that you can camp and have fires, for sure.

Saturday: State FB opener!!!

Sunday - Wed : Working on Dozer :D with a chance of dove hunting Monday. Have to see how the progress is coming on the 2FE before I decide that one for sure.

going to the beach tomorrow! Hopefully we can put some fish in the boat.
 
Johnny, if you want beach camping, Carolina Beach is for sure the way to go. It's really the only beach I go to these days because I can bring my dog and camp, oh and drive my truck on it. If the written rules are stopping you they shouldn't. The rules are in place to keep things in order. Kind of like drinking alcohol on state park land. If you're not acting like an a--hole nobody is gonna care.

Gotcha, thanks buddy :cheers:. I think we were talking about Freeman Park last time I was down at your place. That's where the hillbilly tugfest was happening on Memorial Day, right?
 
I call it Mullet Madness. It's a hell of a time. Other times some friends and I assembled a trampoline for the weekend and on one occasion the cops jumped on it, as well as the pizza delivery girl. It's a blast. I bet Labor day weekend is gonna be busy there too, like a big beach bash.
