Hey kreiten! Great rig, I am very impressed by it, and it gave me inspiration to start building mine!

I have a question, when you installed the Foam Cell Pro kit, did you go for performance or constant load springs? I've just purchased mine with constant load springs and now I wonder wouldn't they be too stiff. I have additional weight in the back, but no added weight in the front so far (I'm going to add it later).
thanks for the props on the rig! I've got the performance springs on mine, they ride really nice! When I get new bumpers I will proly switch over to the constant load springs. My guess is you'll get a bit more lift out of the constant load springs if you're not running after market bumpers and additional weight but will def ride a bit rough.

Decided to change my constant load springs on performance ones in the last minute, I think it was a right decision! Just installed the ma few days ago, they really do ride very nice. Thanks for the feedback!

I agree, good call, glad ya like it man!!! congrats!

Looks killer! Love the wheel tire combo. Does adding the spacers effect reliability on suspension or anything else? I would really like to gain a little more height without hurting anything so I can put a 285/70/18 on. Wish they made that size in the KO2 version.

I would be very curious to know if you run the 285/70/18 without any lift or just with spacers if you get any rubbing. I love those tires but I would expect some issues without at least some lift.

I rolled the 275/70 R18's on the stock wheels with no lift, and at full turn it just barley kissed the KDSS arm. It also had about 2 or 3mm of clearance between the tire and UCA at full turn. I went off-roading with the 275/70 R18's with no lift all the time, never rubbed on the fenders or anywhere else, worked out really great actually! My opinion is that is that max size you could go without a lift without some pretty major rubbing issues, i.e. UCA, KDSS, mud flaps, front inner fender etc! I didn't roll the 285's until after my lift and never rolled them on the stock wheels so this is all just in theory, but my guess is if ya wanna run them with no lift, I'd get a six pack of beer on ice and a fresh sawsal blade:grinpimp:

It's going to take more than a 6-pack to convince me to break out a sawzall to my 200, or else I'd have a snorkel on it already :D

There's a lift in my future but probably not until we have a second vehicle in a few years as the 200 is my wife's DD right now. I could swing a 1" set of spacers but I'll hear no end of complaints on a 3" lift from my 5'2" wife. I'd consider spacers or the 18x9 Fuel Anza's with the 20mm offset you run to help with the KDSS and UCA clearance, but I suspect I would end up pushing the problem outward and fender clearance will become the next issue without the lift.

yep, you're exactly right, once you put those fuels on there you will solve the UCA and KDSS problem, but you will walk right into a whole new set of problems and if you went offroad at all you would proly lose an entire fender:D No way around this one, just grab some 275/70 R18's and roll them until ya get a second ride, then slap on the lift, BFG's and Snorkle! Even with a lift my tires come real close at full compression to hitting the fender, I'd say I have about 10mm of clearance, and that's with the Toyota coil springs spacers up front also!

I wanted to post here because this thread was so helpful in my selection.

I have a great tire guy in town that was willing to order me a set of 285-70 R18 KM2s for my '15 with stock rims and no lift, mount one and turn lock to lock, compress, etc and take them back with no penalty if they didn't work.

Good news....they work great. At full lock they rub the sway bar but no plastic or metal rub other than that. Only thing I did was remove the front flaps. 24 hrs and 60 miles in and no issues.

I wouldn't go wheeling at this point without serious time on my back with full articulation tests but until I bite the bullet on a lift they look amazing running down the road. Thanks for all the info.

Looks nice. How do you like ARB roof basket?

bust out that 40 and drive it to my work - I wanna see that rig
your 200 looks great - congrats

Thanks Atwalz, I like it a lot. Went with the Aluminum one. Sturdy piece. Have to make sure you use gutter sealant on the bolts and don't snap the nuts off. Wish Toy would figure out a better factory mounting system.

Thanks Willy, I sure will bring it by soon!

Installed Metaltech sliders yesterday, I'd never used rivnuts before so that slowed me down just a bit. Once I figured out how to install them(a wrench and a socket wrench and then just tighten them while holding the nut in place) it went pretty smooth! The one bolt on the brake line drivers side was kind of a bitch to get to, other that pretty basic install.

Looks great!!

Great job!
