G'day All,
I lashed out & bought myself a set of 36" Simex Extreme Trekker II's for the 40. Cut the Guards, Bolt em up & away I go I thought - Wrong.
First up I had to get a new Rear Bar made up because the OEM couldn't handle the weight. Next I had to swap out the the Lokka for an ARB Locker to match the one in the front to stop the Tyres chewing out the driveway.
After taking the 40 out for a wheel I discovered that the big Pede's don't really start to do their thing until they're below 10 psi so next up was getting a set of beadlock rims. Finally I thought it best to fit disc brakes to the rear to help stop these rather heavy wheels.
We went out for wheel to Big Pats Creek on Saturday & I must admit it was worth the hassle.

I guess it's just a reminder that modifying your 40 is rarely as straight forward as it seems
Cheers,
Matty
