The VFW was having a car show less than a mile from my house. Now that the truck is getting close to done I figured why not? I drove it down with the kids and hung out with some real nice folks for a few hours. Kids had a blast, and the barbecue was on point. I was surprised to win best vintage!

I know ive taken pics of everything I’ve done recently, I’ll try and catch up on posting in the next few weeks. Next on the horizon is a new brake master cylinder and booster from city racer, power steering with oem box, half doors, and a winch if I can find one - I have about a hundred logs to pull out of the valley behind my house and no way to do it! I had a guy with a forestry mulcher come by - he passed on the job, the hill is too steep. It’s time the 40 earned it’s keep.

bought some doors for $100 to make into half doors. My understanding is that the older style doors fit well on a newer style truck, the door Striker just needs to be relocated and replaced with an ambulance door striker? I’ll figure it out once I salvage the doors - they are rough. Bent up some 16g to replace he missing lower portion. Will need a little hammering and torching to make it perfectly flat but it doesn’t need to be perfect, it’s just a half door.
