Here's my latest fob shell offering. This is the "Isuzu/Toyota/Lexus/Honda/Acura/whatever" version. This remote was used in all kinds of vehicles so your current remote could have a wide variety of branding on it. Take a look at the picture. If your remote has the same buttons and a shell that's the same shape, this should fit.

I'm going to offer a group buy discount for those that want to jump into the first batch. @FloydtheDog has been a test mule and helped design/troubleshoot this one. Kudos to him! His design is option B seen below.

Ask away whatever questions you may have and please PM or reply here if you'd like to be in the group buy.

Normal pricing is $44, group buy pricing will be $35. Group buy will be closed Monday morning.

TO GET IN ON THE GROUP BUY: PM ME OR REPLY HERE WITH YOUR PAYPAL ADDRESS. I'll send an invoice and get you the discount before I post the regular sale link.

Looks like I'll move forward with option B. I like that look best and it appears at least two other folks agree. Spread the word to your fellow 80 series owners. There was significant initial interest in this style so I'm guessing there are quite a few folks out there with broken Lexus/Isuzu OEM shells like these.

My 80 doesn't have security or FOB, but boy I could really use a new shell for my 3rd gen 4runner FOB.

Im In. how do you want me to proceed?

I''m in on the Izusu style. Just posted on that link.

Purchasers of this fob shell: How has it behaved over the last 6+ months? Any issues? I've got one customer with some intermittent function and wondering if it's a unique situation or if others have also had issues.

If you've got one and fixed it somehow, please let me know so we can help out our fellow mudder with an intermittent remote!

Thanks!

Mine have both been working flawlessly and look great!! I was just thinking I would love some for my wife’s Sequioa which has the three buttons on the front (lower for rear tailgate window) and panic on the back.

Yup!!! That's the one. '99 4r 3rd FOB :D Think there is panic button on rear, no? (not near my keys to look)

I'll keep a watch, my fob is on its last legs.
Any progress or update on the 3rd 4r? My current shell has given up the ghost.

Man...need one like this: Hook a brother up!

That's not a Toyota or dealer installed part, looks like.
Have you tried the manufacturer?

What material are these printed in?

These are printed using HP's MultiJet Fusion printer. The material is a a PolyAmide (Nylon). It's one of the strongest materials available for detailed pieces of this size. I should post up a real picture of this part so you can see the material. It's the same as what I use for some other parts. Check the threads below.

That's a unique one! I've only seen it once or twice. Unfortunately, I'll need a bigger customer base to tackle the design phase. :/
