Looks great. I am digging the rear seat storage you have. What is that set up?
It’s from LL Bean, the fit could be better but I also have my 3rd row in still which hinders the space a little. Nice to store things like statchits, tie down rings, jumper cables etc.

Side note for any DIY types that want to leverage their clever mounting solution: Kaon sells the mounting parts separately. I picked up a set for a Homebrew dog barrier project that I’m cooking up.

Yeah, I believe @grinchy used a set of these to fab his own shelf. So many possibilities.........

Thought I'd join the club. Very sturdy and practical. Thanks @BIC JET for the quick and easy local sale!

As you can see, it works fine with the third row still in place (it even helps to have the folded 3rd row seats up to rest the shelf on for a solo install). Headroom for the third row is fine for anyone 5'6" or under I'd say. Visibility is great from the drivers seat, next to none of the rear glass is blocked in the rearview.

Would be cool if KAON made a window molle panel to pair with the shelf:

I may need to get one of these for myself. Among other things, it would probably give me a good place to mount my cellular router (on the underside), though cleanly routing the power and Ethernet cables might be a bit tricky... I'm a huge fan of the clever mounting system Kaon came up with - it's really nice when there's no need to drill holes to install things like this.

Did any of you who ordered from Kaon have any luck using the tracking info they sent you? The shipping notification I received had a link to www.interparcel.com along with a tracking number that starts with AU. When I go to the Inter Parcel site, it indicates the tracking number should start with GB and tells me the tracking number doesn't match a valid order. I'd kind of like to know when it's coming so I'll know when to watch for the box as we've had trouble with just about every carrier I can think of leaving packages a few houses away from ours (we always eventually get the package, fortunately).

Update: I figured it out. The link they sent probably works for most of their customers who are probably in Australia. It turns out I needed to go to au.interparcel.com and then it worked fine. The package has arrived on the west coast, so it needs to travel to the east coast.

I got the same thing. Ordered mine last week (the 19th)...It just showed up via UPS 10 minutes ago. Crazy how fast they get things here.

Mine is out for delivery from UPS. So a total of 5 days from the day I ordered it.

I've always been a little bit backwards! FYI, you can't just turn this shelf around. You have to re-drill the fence on the opposite side. I think it turned out quite nice. So much additional storage.

5 days from Australia to Europe, 11 days in customs

I had mine to the West coast of US in 4 days after ordering. You must have some crazy customs over yonder…?

Victory4x4 offers a side window molle panel. Looks like they could fit in conjunction with each other.

This shelf looks very useful, I just had one in my shopping cart.

A concern that came to mind, was operation the side curtain airbags. I roll with kids in the back seat.

Would this shelf stop the side curtain airbags from dropping down correctly? Thanks!

Third row? If so, I wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise, I don't think it would be an issue as long as you keep things clear in the path below the shelf. Molly panels on the back window might get in the way.

I installed mine yesterday. As others have said, getting the covers off the grab handles was a bit of a challenge. The rest of the install was very easy. No I need to decide what I'm going to put up there :).

Such a weird way that the factory attached the grab handles (I bet it makes for very efficient assembly). I found a 90 degree pick was good - pull one side down (at the little notch provided at the seam), and then the opposite side. Once these clips are removed, the handle comes right off. If the spring metal clip is left over, just squeeze it with your fingers and remove it. The Kaon captive nut assembly is very clever, and easy to install. Super smart design.

I thought same…about how weird the attachment points are. Always seemed like it sould be too easy to fail…but it never has. The front seat grab handles attach via bolts and captive nuts…so for some odd reason, they didnt do that rearward… ??

On the Kaon website, they're showing $178 for shipping alone - is that in line with everyone else here that's ordered them?
