Sorry for the delayed replies, I don't have a computer at home, so I have to suck it up and do it at work. In response to Nocalfj60, She is running well, I need a new carburator in a bad way though. SO if anyone has any suggestions I am open. I will try to put up some pictures today. Thanks for all of your reponses, I don't want to get too chatty though.

Agreed on the new carb. Why do you think you need one?
Can you afford to not drive the 60 for a week?
If you can, then send it off to Mark or Jim C. They are the best out there for rebuilding carbs and "tweaking" them..

cruiser mechanic says secondaries are not opening up, we need one to rebuild while she drives to work then it goes on another 2 f for my fj40.
(s)??? i thought the 2F Aisin carb was a 2 barrel?
as I understand it they are vacuum operated and even on a 2 barrel there is a primary and a secondary, the thing runs ok but has no power in the upper rpm range. It also doe not idle when hot/warm.
Sooo..
the idea is to get one, rebuild it, install it on hers, rebuild the other one and put it on the 2f thats going in to my 71 fj40.

Well, now that you've discovered 'Mud it's all downhill. The addiction just gets worse.
Best advice I can give on the carb is to chuck it into a trash can when you replace the engine with a Toyota diesel. Best cruiser mod ever.
