Just bought my first LX 470. What should I do next?

Best bang for the buck (in my opinion) is off-road tires, so I'd put new shoes on first (assuming maintenance is up to date).

BFG AT K02s were certainly the biggest leap forward.
Metal-Tech sliders (and taking off the side-steps) made wheeling much less stressful.

From there its best to do a bunch of driver learning :)

Baseline your fluids (ALL) and install new heater Tee's before you do anything else. Check the condition of your braking system (pads, rotors, lines) as well. Be certain your cooling system is in good working order.

After that.....comes 'Mods'.

Good looking truck! Looks like mine did Jan of last year.

Take a look at my build in my signature for ideas where to start. I think I took the best path possible, but I'm obviously a little biased.

Congrats! Change all the fluids, get some good tires, and have fun.

Careful visiting the site, it might create an issue between you and your wallet

Do the heater tees first if they are the originals. One clue is that the factory hose clamps will be uniformly upside down.

Cheap insurance against frying the engine when you least expect it.

This is imperitive^^

It's a 10 minute repair you can do for $20 with plyers and you don't have to get dirty.

Also get to know your local chapter, lots of good people, regular monthly runs too.

Congratulation and like pretty much everyone is saying
1. Maintenance
2. Tires
3. Sliders
Then take it from there... I'm not sure how many share my sentiment but I do wish I had built a bit slower than I did
