Mexico was great man. Thanks for asking. Glad everything went well. We definitely need to meet up and go wheel somewhere. Let me know if your up for it. I still have to try out my new Toyo's.

Definitely. We'll have to go as soon as I get my new suspension.

Awesome!!! Great job on the paint!! Where did you get your wind deflectors. I like the look. Its coming along great!! Did you order your suspension yet? Which one did you decide on getting?

Haven't decided on a lift yet.

We're going on vacation next month and I'm getting some new Tokico's for the drive to New Jersey.

I'll think about a lift when we return.

Deflectors are AVS brand. They came with the truck.

lift and axle rebuild

Hey jupiter fzj
I'll be doing a lift and axle rebuild sometime during winter vacation.
Your more than welcome to join me up north from you on Merritt Island.
By the way trucks looking good.

I was really second guessing your grill idea, but honestly, it turned out AMAZING.

I'd love to get my hands dirty. If I'm in town, I'll definitely try to make it.

Thank you, sir.

Your sentiments are much appreciated.

after you cut the mesh, how did you affix the logo to it, and the grill to the plastic frame?

  • 1.25" corner braces
  • 10-32 x 1/2" flat head phillips bolts
  • 10-32 nuts
  • 3/16 x 1 1/4" Washers
  • JB Weld

Painted everything black once it was installed.

I'll snap some photos for you a bit later.

awesome, thanks so much!

I'm interested in how you mounted the metal to the surrounding part of the existing grille. I can't see pictures for some reason.

I apologize for digging up the thread and I just realized the answer was right in front of. What size expanded metal did you use?
