All,

I finally got around to getting the power steering pump to fit the JT Outfitters bracket to adapt power steering pump to my 1F engine. I’m going to have to fabricate the bracket to clear the thermostat housing but overall I was able to get the power steering pump to fit in the bracket. The power steering pump I originally had did not work. So I bought a power steering pump for a 1975 Chevrolet half ton with a 5.7 L engine and it worked out fine.

Why will it not clear the thermostat? I have two 40's with that style bracket, no problems.

Here's a pic of the adapter plate I made to use with the same bracket as yours. I was just after better pulley/belt alignment.

Sorry but No, It was just a flat plate bolted to the front 2 head bolts then I bolted the bracket to it. The plate is 4" x 8" with the front left corner cut at a 45 to clear the belt tensioner adjustment bolt. pretty simple.
