Have a double batch of my chili planned, deli meat sandwich platter, chips and beverages planned for lunch. Am I missing anything?

Sounds like you will have some extra food! I'll be there to help you with that problem:D

Back to sandblasting discussion...I talked with the referral Darin posted in Jon's thread and he is closer to the $800 range for the 45. He was very open and helpful, saying it could be much less but obviously, can't give a "hard" estimate before seeing the work needed.

He also said the $200-300 is a low ball and should be "thrown away".

Jerry, you should find he does a good job also. His blaster guy has been doing it for many years now. Old bearded guy. He does alot of military stuff also. Does painting and powder coating.

Thanks for the feedback Darin. Seemed like a good guy on the phone. 90% going there, I just need to confirm he can throw a coat of primer on the body parts before I drag it all home. His schedule will work well for me and my borrowing of Ramon's trailer.

I'm actually excited to get this back on the top of the list, I REALLY want to get it back into running condition...

Jerry, pins are in, and my latches..

I'm ready to go.. I see you also have a press so I might work on my winch a little if time allows...

Excellent. I called earlier and left a message on your mobile phone. Just wanted to chat about feed, sandblasting and borrowing Ramon's trailer to get things to the blaster. I wasn't sure where you were with your tub...

I just called yours and left you a message, check it and give me a call at work. My tub is actually on my little trailer, ready to go.

Jerry, we will see you in the morning. Do you need me to bring anything? tools, air/hand, hoses such?

Thanks Eric.

I've got 2 impact wrenches (3/8 & 1/2), a pneumatic 3/8 drive, a hose reel, another 20' of hose, some flexible "coil" hose so I think I've got that covered. But, if you have another, it could hurt.

I've got a good set of sockets, my spare set (usually in my trail bag) but again, can't have enough 12, 14, 15, 17mm sockets.

One thing I don't have a lot of is open/box end wrenches.

To all, I've got one ez-up (I put it over the 45 today once I saw the rain coming) and we could use others. Ramon's bringing one and it sure couldn't hurt to have another.

From what I have figured from all the "weather experts", we could get some rain tomorrow during the day but it isn't a high probability until later in the afternoon. Temps are supposed to get into the mid 60's so it should be reasonable to be working outside.

I've got a bunch of cardboard to lay on the ground if its wet still. I have a couple boxes of big and large ziplocks and sharpies in an effort to keep nuts/bolts/parts grouped together. I've assigned Brianna the task of being the parts organizer. I've also got plenty of nitrile gloves (only M size though) and penetrating oil. If we have to cut off a bolt to get things free, I've got a sawzall and plasma if necessary. If I have to replace some hardware, so be it, my goal is to get things apart and to the blaster.

Ramon is bringing his trailer over so we can put the parts along with Brian's 40 tub onto it, secure them and I'll drive them to the blaster on Monday.

I talked with Brian about what his goals are in building his swingout and I'm confident we will be able to get it done.

So, thats my goals...strip the 45 down, get the frame, cab, bed, hood, fenders and grill w/Brian's tub on Ramon's trailer and build Brian a double swingout w/tire carrier on one side, ladder and jerry can/cooler carrier on the other.

We have the sandwich platter stoked with sliced turkey, ham, roast beef, swiss, cheddar, provolone, chips, dip, salsa, sodas and a double batch of my chicken/charizo, 3 bean chili, one might find an adult beverage or two in the garage fridge also. Brianna is baking her quad-chocolate and sugar cookies for non-chocolate addicts.

I'll crack the doors around 8:30a. I've moved the 45 in front of garage door #2, Brian will pull his 80 in front of garage door #1, Ramon will park the trailer right in front of the house.

I'll thank everyone in advance for helping out, should be a decent day for a good ole ONSC HAMOM...

HOLY CRAP, that was one resistant SOB of a fender well. But it'll be yours in the AM.
Can you shoot me an addy as well. Thanks, see you guys tomorrow.

Ill bring an air hose, some box/open wrenches and a set of metric ratchet wrenches, a sawzall and grinder.

Excellent, thanks for the hassle. PM sent...

8:30am, got it. I'm pumped:bounce:

Sounds like you've got a pretty good collection of tools, so I'm not going to bring any with me. If it turns out that we need something you don't have, I'll just run back to the house.

Guys, please leave room right in front of the house so I can pull right in w/ the 2500&trailer. I'll be there 9-930 Jerry. I may bring Splash to play in the back yard w/ Rubi and Diesel if that's cool widchew.

Brian, don't forget that hub socket... I'm having to tear down my front to pull the third out.

 R

Good plan Ramon, yes, Splash is good to go for a dog party.

Yes Johnny, I think I got us covered but for one thing...

I want to take the windshield and other glass out of the cab, don't know if I need anything special other than the knowledge of how to do it. I've got fishing line, some nylon twine, a hammer? Definitely want to get all the glass out before being blasted...

I don't know how ( in practice ) to take a windshield out. I know in theory, but last time I tried, it split into a million pieces:D
