My wife has decided she wants to come hang out. Also our border collie will be making the trip. Charity, what tools do I need to bring to adjust the drum brakes? We will be there Saturday morning. The weather looks like it is going to be good. It seems like food is set so I will bring beer/drinks and cash to help for the food. I am pretty excited to get Herman to the first meeting and get to check out a bunch of new vehicles.

A brake spoon is about it - sears has 'em..we had to shave it down just right to adjust them without removing the tire.

Cant wait to meet all...and JOHNNY, put me in line for one these experimentations .

Now Ive got to get outside and finish loading up/cleaning out the old girl.

Ill have a flathead screwdriver to adjust your drums Haha. My spoon goes unused. I'll have 99% of the tools we need.. All but the 90* drill... Hmm

By the way, I see some chatter about coming from Raeford. I'm from Raleigh, but will actually be coming from Raeford on Saturday morning from my Grandma's house there.

If by chance you need me to pick someone / parts up from Raeford to bring I can do that no problem.

I can't believe someone on here even knows where / what Raeford is.

Thanks alot man. I know entirely too much about this place next to Nam. :hillbilly: :hillbilly: :hillbilly:

I have and will bring down there:

Org rear jump seat belts

Instrument panel cover (painted white - PO crap)

Ash tray (painted white - PO crap)

CCOT license plate plastic thing

Hood hooks (pretty sure are org, but are painted)

Maybe some other crap mixed in???

I'm casually looking for the following all on a 1978 40 (thanks for letting me dream on this list below):

Glove box (have one, just painted white and like to get one more org looking like my instrument panel and ash tray)

Fuse box cover (honestly not sure which one I need)...the one that goes by your left knee while driving, but I know there are a few different versions

Fuel separator, but I know a guy here in Raleigh that has one

Tuffy center console

Seat brackets!!!!

Front seat belts (3 point) and if I'm honest I'm looking for some clean ones

That little glove box wire / cable that keeps it from opening too far open (I know trivial, but I'm going for org look as much as possible)

Hub locks, but I'll probably end up ordering some new (I actually don't have any right now)

Jack / tools (if I got a flat right now embarrassingly enough I don't think I could change the flat). Those little bracket things that go behind the jump seats would be awesome to get installed (great touch)

Long shot, but a knuckle rebuild complete kit if someone happens to have it and doesn't want it. More than likely will order online new.

Windshield wiper caps that go over the nuts (I've heard of this part, but never seen...does it exist?)

Anyways...see ya'll Saturday.

What seat brackets you need ? for the front ? Got some. Got some old warn hubs that would work for you.

Looking at Mikes pics from 09 the vehicle is not the same. Rear bumper the same, or close. Has a 3 inch body lift. And some holes in the drivers door from some strange mirrors.

I did not look inside as i was at someones house and they were not home.

So, I stopped back over there at lunch today and left a card. It is not Mike. Talked to the Wife for a very short time but she seamed excited to see there was more people with cruisers out there.

Sarca. I panicked for like 45 minutes rummaging through my toolbox. Thought I lost that alignment tool

But I found it!!! Flat heads and a pipe wrench would work if not

It's all good lol - thanks for remembering. I finished throwing all my tools together..tonight I was tearing things apart looking for my tripod and gopro accessories.

Did you find someone with a drill you were looking for?

I picked up two cases of red stripe, case of blue moon and a 12 pack of PBR...also bring my patron and kahlua.

I could not be more stoked to kick this off Friday!

I have three different ones 2 high rise ones and 1 low rise already I found on ebay a while back. I know I need the triangle piece for DS and the bar that connects between the two seats. I don't have it all laid out yet to know for sure what I have left to get. I've always had concern that my non-org tub won't accept the org brackets correctly, but I want to give it a try.

Let me know what you have / bring it down to check out.

Look forward to seeing / meeting everyone.

Cheers,
Michael

Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges! Unless they're Toyota. I'll claim it.

Is it calling for snow there mike?

I have welding equipment etc. Just replaced the gas tank. I don't think we're gonna get snow here on the ground. Temps r supposed to stay above freezing tonight during precip. However it will be cold as balls Friday night into Saturday so if anyone can bring heaters we will need them. The garage doesn't have a door by the way. Does anyone accept a polar plunge challenge in the pool?

^^^ Really? Nothing? I laughed for days over this... This crowd may be way to mature for me. :hillbilly:
