Jake Got A Letter From Clemson!!

in todays mail jake got a request for information from clemson baseball...i must say the boy is pretty excited!...questionaire to fill out and return...along with an invite to visit anytime....i must say the costal carolina letter did not generate the excitement that this clemson letter did....just thought i would share that with you fellas as we are trying to schedule some "unofficial" visits to carolina universities to coincide with the shrimp boil event....

Jake could do a LOT worse than go to Clemson. Great place.
I saw where recently CU's student body was rated the happiest
students in the USA. No kidding. LOL...the baseball team needs
him bad. Last year was a record breaking bad year for the Tiger's
baseball team. I don't look for a repeat. They should be strong
next year...like always. I'd even go to Tiger town to see HIM play.
Ol Jack knows talent and Jake should feel honored to get the invite.
They have a young team and do a good job of developing talent.

Damn, Ray's letting another good one get away. Fire Tanner!

no word from tanner...but it is early yet...i think if clemson were to offer he would commit early!...probably not gonna happen...but hell he can dream...we will be visiting winthrop...coastal carolina....clemson and appalachian state....i think...now all i have to do is figure out how the hell to fit this all in to one trip!...wish me luck

Congrats, Jack Legget knows how to find good ones. Course thats been his problem lately too, to many of his big recruits have been going straight to the minors and the $.

That might be the nicest thing I ever heard David say about Clemson. He's right about that down yr though first time since the 80's we didnt make a Regional we have another big recruiting class and a lot of returners though should be a big improvment this yr back to the top 25 where we belong.

If jake wants any info or to talk to anyone about Clemson just ask I'm sure JP, Chuck, Ghen, and I would all be more than willing to talk to him about it.

Well Richard, when ya sweep a team and win something like 8 of the last 10 you can be a sport about it.
You don't have to brag.
The rivalry is all in good fun from my perspective pal.
I sure hope that hard throwing Lefty comes to SC even if it's CU.

You guys have had our number in Baseball the last couple seasons, we have made up for it in every other sport. What really interests me is how Legget and his staff find out about prospects who are still like 3 yrs out from being able to come to school and play. Thats ridiculous especially when you think about the fact that baseball is only the #3 college sport.

I know, it just goes to show what's needed to compete at the highest level.
I think ol Ray has out recruited Jack the last few years as well. He's had
the #1 class a couple of years.
Have you seen the plans for the new ballpark in Cola? AWESOME!
It will be ready for next season. Big time SEC park.

55 the high school/ college baseball comunity is really very small...my son was invited this summer to tryout for the chicago white sox....the area scout is a fella named clay overcash...believe me all of the d1 college coaches are well aquainted with mr overcash as well as the numerous other mlb area scouts...so if a kid like jake is'nt ready for the majors the scouts drop his name with a few coaches and next thing you know a kid from no where kansas that just happens to throw left handed and hits with a 400 plus average is a hot commodity...actually a pretty cool community us baseball folks....they say everytime you take the field in baseball you are interveiwing for a job...so be at your best because you never know who is watching!...jake is trying out for the next four weeks for a very good very high profile travel team....the coach contacted him and invited him...now how the heck did he find jake?....i don't even ask anymore i am just enjoying the ride!....and we will take you guys up on the offers....who know maybe mrs osagecruiser and i will become residents in one of those carolinas....thanks

David I think we had a better class last yr, but we lost 5 of them to the MLB draft so suddenly our really good class was avg. thats the way it falls in baseball though. Those 18yo's see $ coming at them say screw school.

Osage, thats pretty interesting maybe I shouldn't have quit baseball when I did. I made our varsity team in 8th grade but played JV cause you were only allowed 4 yrs but then I quit to play soccer the next yr.
