She's all buttoned up and took her wheelin at the 50th anniversary of TDS. Yeah yeah... its a bunch of heepers - but we represented and showed a few heeps up.

Good talking with you yesterday! Your weekend adventures look like a great to be had! The rig is looking very stout... Although, from our conversations regarding the color,and the various new nicknames the rig is acquiring, I have to laugh and add my own. Since we both have children, you may appreciate the humor- anyway, it's brief snipet from one of my kids favorite movies, the old man is saying 'avocado', and, well, with the unavailing of the new paint scheme, it's the first name that came to my mind- LOL!

I would - but the glare is pretty brutal. I might black out the hood or just roll on another coat with flattener.

HAHAHA! Josh, after that obstacle - someone yelled out "its the crawling avocado" so you aren't alone.
On a side note - My new landtank LCA's worked beautiful. Truckhaven is all about articulation/ flex. With the combo of Roger Brown's 1" body lift and the LCA's, my truck performed beautifully through the crossed up sections. Also, I need to thank you and Bowser for getting the steering box out so fast. I would have never attempted to go on this trip if that box wasn't en-route.

Al's liner paint job FINISHED!
I finished up the truck and wheeled it! I got lots of complements on the trail. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. One thing I would change is the gloss / glare. I'll have to address that in the near future. If you do this - make sure you order the vinyl flattener. It's not part of the kit.
FYI - the finish doesn't make it easier to clean. I used my pressure washer to "spray the dirt off" but when it dried, you couldn't tell it had been "washed". I had to scrub the dirt off - it wasn't easy.

looks great Mike! I would think a soft bristle brush would be an easy way to get it clean quick? can't wait to have some time this summer to go on some 4x4 trips, school is killing me right now, 6 days a week.

there is 18 pages so maybe I missed it, but do you have a body lift? It kind of looks like it from the side shot above.

One man's flop is another man's treasure....
If you haven't heard or seen the thread "flopped my rig, time to chop the top!" VC cruzr had a freak flop and decided to bob the rear. This makes his 4x4 labs bumper obsolete. Since I bought Sean's Bumper with the premise of over landing and light wheeling, it was perfect, at the time. Since I've been bite by the rock crawling bug, I've been looking to replace it. Derrick's flop presented this opportunity. I placed my bumper for sale locally and it sold it 40 minutes to car-car, who is practically my neighbor. This was perfect since I was able to help a buddy out, which helped me get the bumper I wanted and helped fund a portion of Derrick's build and made his wife happy! When the wife is happy, she goes to the store and picks up a 12 pack for the hard working guys in the driveway. It was a perfect storm of wins!!!

Have you trimmed your fenders at all? Or is the 1" body lift enough to clear those 345's with out rubbing?

I haven't trimmed. The rubbing is minimal but still there. You can get away with trimming just the aft portion of the rear fenders.
Thanks for the reply. Although I'm a little disappointed. I have my 1" body lift in the box still and was hoping to get away with no trimming. Does the front clear no problem then?

There are a lot of factors involved in clearance and whether or not a tire will rub. I have a 4" lift, 1" wheel spacers a heavy bumper, cargo drawers and long travel shocks; if you have the same set up, then yes it will rub. With most everything you do to your truck, there will be a positive and a negative. You'll have to decide if the positive out weights the negative.
Correct, the front doesn't rub at all, unfortunately the front axle is limited by radius arms coming into contact with the tie rod. My front axle only flexes 3-4 inches. I hope this helps. Best of luck.

It does help, thanks. I was just kidding about being disappointed. My suspension is somewhat similar in that I have 1" wheel spacers but I'm running "j" springs and no additional weight. I probably have about 5" of lift in the back but the tire still stuffs way up in there when flexed so I'm guessing I will rub too. It's way too hot here to be messing with the body lift so it will still be a couple months before I know for sure.
