sooner or later, the best thing to do is pull the plug and get on with it.
everyone I've met so far (maybe no joshoisasleep, but I haven't *met* him) has agreed that they could have had a great trip with far less prep when driving through Central America.
Fact is: Toyota built a sturdy, Central America ready, vehicle when the 60 rolled off of the line. There are a bazillion things you can do to make it more "yours" but if your goal is to arrive in Argentina or Chile, a stock 60 (do your PM) will work just fine.
All that aside: this build looks great! add a little security to the mix, just so that I sleep better.
