hence why, years ago, i went with a top mount on the JDM 7* series. there is just no way of installing a front mount that is going to work properly with AC rad. plus that is a lot of heat before the air hits the radiator ... which in my books has a much more important work to do.
but if there is such a beast that looks good and works well, then i want to see it as well.
I've thought of adding a front mount air-air intercooler on my 74 but I don't see how that is possible if i keep my stock AC cooler up front. SO.... x4 for the write up, I'm sure it'll give me some food for thought.

My front mount works fine, just wanted to see another front mount set up on a heav duty 7x series , as ive never seen another setup b4

so you have the rad, AC rad, intercooler all out front ... got some pics?

thought it depends too where you are and your outside temp conditions and weather ... there is way that I can remove ( or want to .. ) my AC condenser or limit my rad air flow in any way ..

Clint modded the metal work below his grill to make it fit.

When I get around to my front mount, I plan to relocate the AC receiver-dryer and horns, and possibly modify the radiator support that goes across in front of the radiator, to make it all fit behind the grill.

I was looking at the rad on the 74 yesterday and I notice the fan shroud is a mile long, how hard would it be to just relocate the stock rad back 10cm and then fit everything else back in behind the grill, so that nothing has to protrude out front? Mind you I still have my huge s***ty stock bumper, I'm sure i could install an air-air out in front of the grill:hillbilly:, but it would look nasty, and would probably make the winch harder to use...

i just ran out and had another look, I can see why it might be hard to move the radiator back. The fan is off center from the rad and the shroud has a specific shape (to direct airflow to the fan), if you move back the rad, you'd have to make a custom shroud, or center the rad on the fan (move the rad towards the passenger side (RHD)).

I took some photos.

There definitely is potential for an "out of grill" inter-cooler placement, wouldn't obstruct winch use, but would be useless in slow moving conditions because there would be no air pull from the fan and would rely on forward motion to get air flow (great for highway travel).
