Saw someone on here with a red 70 series with their highlift on the gas can hinges
Ive done this but theres some interference with the tail light when fully open, just wondering what anyone else's solution for this was
Alot of different ways of solving this i guess but I'm out of steam for the weekend so this is going out to the hive collective until i get to it next weekend

Move it inboard slightly using the H shaped base that the can mount bolts to. This would get it away from the hinges and light. I often thought that base would make a really versatile mount for lots of uses apart from a gas can. I would try to rest the weight of the jack on the bumper itself in the closed position naturally.

dont have that H part.... hmmm

77107A in the illustration. This is for my vehicle - yours may differ, but I doubt it. It's actually a D shape now that I look at it. Whether this is all strong enough to hold a HiLift is a completely other question, but it's a starting place.

hinges are plenty strong enough, its on there now just needs some more movement towards the tire, i was gonna make some flat bar extenders and maybe some stand-offs,
i have a feeling that D, or H, bracket will necessitate removal of the license plate light assembly....
maybe i can build a shorter d bracket to do the same...
