Believe it or not I have accomplished the following on my 85 LHD BJ70

1) air conditioning
2)Intercooler- front mounted
3) aluminum radiator- cross flow
4) double alternators- for a total of 165 amps.

If this of interest to people I will do a write up.

Already have done the front mounted intercooler:D Aircondition don't really need, yet. Double Alternators sounds cool, but why not just get a higher amped alternator? Yours in 12V right? Haven't thought about a higher amp alternator for my 24V system. Pictures and writeups are always wanted as I'm sure others would like to pursue any or all of these same improvements.

I'm curious about the evap case used. Compressor and lines is no big deal.

:cheers:I will get it written up this weekend with pictures.

anyone know if the evap unit from an FJ62 will work? I pulled one of these last week from a rig Im parting and it sure looks like it will bolt in to replace the tube between the heater fan and the heater core box.

60 series evap case will not work... I tried. I had my entire dash out trying to make it work. I even tried 85 toyota pickup... I ended up using a aftermarket setup from hot rod air. It gave me the chance to set it up from scratch as opposed to modding some 20 yr old toyota crap.

ac

I have a bj70 canadian with ac, I did all the set up.,Turbocharged but no intercooler. I was planning using a top mont intercooler from a supra...working on that.

send some pictures

So were did the pics of the front mount cooler end up

he has ONE extra hour this weekend to show the beef! patience everyone, the weekend ain't over yet.......

Considering the poster sold that 70 over two years ago and hasn't posted anything since, I doubt you'll be getting a response.

I've thought of adding a front mount air-air intercooler on my 74 but I don't see how that is possible if i keep my stock AC cooler up front. SO.... x4 for the write up, I'm sure it'll give me some food for thought.
