More info please.

Isuzu 6BB1 is an old engine. Was superseded by the 6BD1, which was last used some 20 years ago give or tak. Good reliable engines, gave good mpg and modest hp.

I'm getting a lot of this why from people to that i say because I can the things are as robust as a tank better on fuel than the 1fzfe engine it pulls like a train it'll run on just about anything oil based and are very cheap to get and build if you ever need to more than once and it pulls a camper like it's not even their .....soooo why not.

No worries mate its an after market turbo it is a scwitzer s76 part number for it is 310407 but there is 10 different listings for that one 9 are similar 1 is similar in housings and completely different than the others in the core guess what one I have yes that od bugger it may be to late now but i went out and bought a t04b the compressor housing looks to be about the same size although the wheel looks a bit bigger on the other side of it oh this is where I differs dramatically the turbine looks very similar in size but the housing is a lot smaller I hopping that it's going to be able to get the exauhst gasses out fast enough ........thoughts any one

I'm not sure how to go about putting a video up of my phone so if i can either work out how to do it or might try to get on YouTube

Ok I'm new to this forum stuff so I might of gone the wrong way about it I need help to choose the best turbo for my needs as the one on it has s*** it's self and is very hard to find that particular one where i amand I tthink that it's actually made to be on a tractor not a car or truck

Get a turbo off a stock 5.9L cummins? You are only missing a .5L of displacement should be fine. Should be very easy to find as the Cummins guys often upgrade turbos.

Well.. what flange do you have?

How about one off a 6bd1 then? Apparently a Air Research T04B80

Cummins run HX35s, H1Cs, HE351 mostly. I believe all are a t3 flange. You can probably find an adapter if not.

I think any of those would be a great choice for that engine. There are a lot of other used turbos guys are bolting up to cummins so IMO anything you could run off a 4bt you should be able to spool with your engine and probably a 6bt as well, especially the h1c and hx35s. I don't know much about your engine though so I'm just taking a slightly educated guess.

where is this beast located??

what are the hp tq numbers for the motor?

what trans are you running

From what I see it has a huge turbine side and small compressor side, slow spooling, anemic turbo. I would run an hx35 if you can find one. Should be adapter to bolt to whatever flange you have, or have one made.

THe HE351s are cool too, because you can even get them in a VGT and then you can rig up custom ways to run that so you'll have quick spool and lots of boost.

I think that this motor runs about the 120 hp mark as a non turbo unit as far as torque I have no idea what it is the 6bt turbo makes absolute sense but not that easy to come by in Australia . It has a t3 flange patern im not sure of the measurements of the turbo i have restrictions on space is another issue that i have to deal with since the turbo is reverse mounted and i would like to keep it that way s it keeps the heat away from the fire wall so does the turbo that was on it was supposed to be of a tractor so I presume that it's not the one for me to start with so here is my next question does anyone think that the t3/t4-t04b is to small on a 6bt and what characteristics of this turbo would be on that motor (6bt)
