http://raleigh.craigslist.org/tag/4256516865.html How often do these gauchos go up for sale? It looks like a 40 but I don't know much about them. If I got this could someone in Raleigh grab and hold it for me till I could make it up there? I would love to have one ready to go for Austin. Advice on rarity and offer price appreciated.

Not the real deal. The Gaucho is (was) made by Peg Perego and it was a 24 volt machine. This one is a 12 volt.

Edit: pic 6/6 peg perrego on the seat belt. Just like the real world we don't get the good stuff here in NA. No 24v diesel awesomeness

I don't know. No expert here (calling al) but that one might be real. I picked one up as a gift for a mud member from a mud member here on onsc and it had the peg perrego instructions and parts list. I ordered a side drive gear from them and its been good since. Now recieving more horsepower and LEDs !!

The purist would note its missing the toolbox ;) Does it run? Something still looks weird. Different wheels but more the body lift look or something? I'd say its worth a hundred dollar offer.

See that you just edited it. Thanks.

yeah that's a peg.... Either a gaucho.or an apache (prequel to the gaucho)

gauchos came in 12, 18 and 24v although I've never personally seen a 18v.

98% sure the John Deere were all 12v gauchos

I stand corrected. I thought all the gauchos were 24 volt. I did a quick search and found that what I have always considered as a Gaucho is actually a Gaucho Super Power. I guess those are like the '83 FJ40 of the Gaucho line with 24 volt and all the bells and whistles. Having two kids ages 6 and 8 we have been through a slew of Pegs and Powerwheels over the years. I've modded a few and bumped them from 6 to 12 volt and from 12 to 18 volt. We still have a couple of 24v Pegs (Razor and Polaris 4 wheeler) but the kids have outgrown them. Sorry for misleading you, Chris. The Gaucho in your ad is the real deal...it's just not THIS:

the 24s are $$$ to find. Brett had one and I think olde Greg now has that one.

I sent in an offer for 100$ but I doubt he will bite. However, based on the ad referencing a Jeep and not a 40 I imagine he doesn't know what he has. What do these things cost new? The downside is all the John Deere fans would probably pay bank for it...We will see.
