So tell us (or at least me ) -- What color do you make it to be that it once was ? - - Might it have been Cadet Blue ? Or do you surmise some other blue, such as Capri ? ... Good Job... Thanks, Skydog. I really don't know the nuances of the various blue colors. I will get brushed up on it over time, as best I can tell the color under the respray seems to be a little bit lighter blue with a little more grey tone than the current blue color.

Just following back up on this thread. Looks like this is/was an original cadet blue truck. The paint Hugh differences between old and newer paint disappear when both are wet or buffed. Seems the old paint is just a little oxidized and looks a little lighter.
