nope not a motor mount, It just supports the intake
PM C-Dan he should be able to get it for you and quick too.
IIRC the first run of these engines didn't have the brace on it. I remember CDan mentioning it before but I couldn't begin to tell you what to search on to find it. But I'll check.

probably a cost/weight reduction someone decided they did not need it and then later figured they did

Thanks for the answer C-dan. The question still remains why were the threaded holes put there and not used for 2 years? I guess this goes down as another of the 93-94 to 95-97 differences.
