Is it me, or do some paint colors on 60s just do not look right?

Scared of what? I detect a twinge of jealously......These beast's are bred to go down narrow bush tracks regardless of the shine. Didn't paint this beaut to sit in the garage, I just thought beige was boring!!
Agreed on all accounts i would love to have that thing in my driveway.

It's you.

Polerstuff has a pretty unique fj62 in seafoam green or something

Looks like a forest service truck with those rims. Is she going up or coming down, either way it looks like an accident just waiting to happen....ouch!

this thread of course is about personal preferance of color :). does anyone know what the wheelbases of theses trucks are cinoared to a jeep wrangler? it still suprises me how a 60 can slide into a small car slot in a parking lot. btw i like metalic emerald green for a 60.

I know...folks are getting sick of silver

If only that black patch on the hood was a thin film laminated flexi solar panel...
yes, good point. I thought would it be neet if the roof was covered in solar panels. Good way to keep the batteries juices up when using electrical with the engine off.

I was OK with sand- colored (yes, beige) until I saw a friend's silver 60 close up.

Now I have envy.

That's just me.

IMHO 4E9 (beige) looks the best.....and I own a 4E9 cruiser. My 87 started out life as red, but when I had the chance to do a full color change, I took it!

Great shot. Valley of the Gods. Epic location.
We stopped by to see you on that trip. You were out on your own trip. Did say hi to Dan though.

Ok I will admit your rig as well as Scott Channing's look awesome with the blue expo style. What I meant to say was that the glossy blue and red paint look great on any cruiser, stock or not. Just easier to see scratches and such.
If you looked at my truck you would see a ton of Arizona pin stripes. Drove down a trail that had trees so close together they would touch your shoulders if you walked it.

I went to a little town in Iowa a few months ago to look at a 60 I had heard about through a guy that knew a guy who's brother's uncle's neighbor talked to a guy that saw a cool truck by a garage near a guy he delivered a pizza to. The owner had it done in one of the darker green FJ80 colors when he did a full restoration on this TX truck a few years ago. Promptly blew up the motor because they hadn't properly seated the dizzy into the all-so-important oil pump drive gear slot. I couldn't leave town without it! I am still out looking for a 2F. In the mean time I go in the garage and gently caress it daily. I polished the engine bay last night because I was bored. Someone said that is a symptom of OCD. Don't know... maybe the pic of the chassis from my last project is an indication? Knowing "Shes Mad" is trolling this site, I won't be too bragadatious. I've seen pics of his work. Oh my...

I know I posted that blue is the bees knees. If I did it again, would look for white followed by tan. Just got this one with a seized motor for $1000 and been throwing money at it since.
