Is 416 Dune Beige available in a spray can?

Does anyone have the factory toyota clors available in a spray can. My FJ was originally dune beige 416 and I am undecided if that is what I am going to paint it with. It is like a Viper Blue right now with white stripes, yuck!

Most auto body supply places that mix paint can also put custom mixed colors in regular spray cans for around $20. Around here most Napa stores can do it. I certainly wouldn't paint a whole truck this way, but for just checking the color it would certainly work.

Was just planning on painting a portion to see if I like it. I know the original dune beige may be the right thing to do, but it's not like I am restoring it to stock....I am trying to build a capable trail rig.

Do a search on mud to see the dune beige rigs that guys are running. I've owned two of the stock beige 40's and I think it's one of the best stock colors (IMHO).....Since yours is a re-paint, you may be able to use the inside of the wiper motor cover to get a paint match (it's easy to take into the store, size-wise).

Just a word of warning on the Dune Beige, the exact color will vary by paint manufacturer and paint product. I had two PPG paints (can't remember the two variants) that were both 416 Dune Beige, but one turned out much more yellow and one more green.

I would suggest matching the paint if possible.

I had rattle cans made at Tower Paint, but being lazy didn't send them anything to match it with, and they didn't. But try Tower for custom rattle cans, they will do matching.

Nice find. Just ordered some Mustard Yellow aerosol and some clear. Now I can paint my firewall before installing the engine. I thought I was going to have to use part store black.
I'll probably get a couple of quarts from them for the gun to do the body later on. That way it should match. Thanks!

Silver Lake it is. That was actually my first run with it since I picked it up the prior fall in Idaho. Been working on a number of issues the PO didn't resolve. I just pulled the rear jump seats and heater and installed a bench with lap belts, making it safer for the two young'ens! I love things original but this thing already had the 383sbc in it and I want to make it into a trail rig, not a garage queen. I am leaning back toward the original dune beige as the firewall is still that color. However I love the olive color and I have to do the whole thing over anyway as the "racing stripes" are even on the floor and the dash . Phase 1, make it comfortable for the family and dependable. Phase 2, make it more trailworthy - lift and lockers. Phase 3, make it look good. My wife and kids love the dunes and going two tracking.
What are you driving when you are in the dunes?

Great place to go. On memorial day it is just amazing all the different rigs you will see. Everything form a monster truck to a snowmobile on the sand. I also have marks adapter as well.

Well, for what its worth, I used a rattle can on my 74 to "touch it up" and it matched pretty well. I dont know the brand but they are sold with the camo kits in hardware stores. Think they have brown, tan, and green...I used the tan. Hope this helps.

krylon khaki is really close but a flat paint. That is what mine is.

Sherwin Williams auto paint stores can mix up a can for you. Think it's about $12 and takes about 20 minutes. It's really soft paint though. But if your just trying it for color it should be fine...
