Really happy so far with the Ironman Foam Cell Pro lift kit! Can't wait to take it offroad! Ride quality is very close to stock, I upgraded from KYB.

This looks great! Is this the standard Iron Man 2" Foam Cell Pro lift from Ironman 4x4 100 Series Land Cruiser Suspension - 2" Lift Kit (Foam Cell Pro Shocks) ?

This is exactly what I am looking for and had read that without any significant weight in the back (bumper/drawers) that the rear would be too high. This looks good to me.

Thanks!

Yep - it's the standard Iron Man 2" lift kit. I was afraid it was going to be too high as well but the cost and hassle of ordering OME coil springs made me install these. I was worried initially but very happy with the outcome. I don't have any additional weight in the back, no bumper, no drawers, just stock.

Yes I do not have any additional weight in the rear either and the rake is just fine. My t-bars may be cranked up too much because even with the Light Racing UCAs Toyota could not get the camber into factory spec. I didn't mark the cams properly before I took them out so maybe they needed to adjust those, but I don't know much about that. Overall the suspension feels tighter and a lot less floaty, but still rides pretty nice. I had 200k on the stock suspension so Im not sure how they ride compared to new OEM shocks and springs. If you would like I could take measurements from the center of the wheel to the middle of the fender arch.

Wasn't this kit sub-$1000 when it was released last year?

It's been about $1300 since I've seen it. This year though I bought it when it went on sale.

@orangefj45 thanks for your advice!
I just ordered the kit and winch today but have to wait on the IM bumper to arrive, its killing me to have to wait!.....BTW, Mark at IM says if you want the kit, better order now, he is guessing they will sell out in a week, just wish he could get me the bumper quicker.

I just had mine installed and got it back last night. 2" Ironman Foam Cell Pro with the "light duty" 13b springs. Only thing I am noticing, and didnt see at the installers shop when picking up due to darkness, is that the driver's side is nearly 3/4" lower than the passenger side, both front and back. Otherwise, I have a nice 1-1.25" rake back to front. Any thoughts on why the driver's side might be lower (measuring hub to fender)?

The ride is nice though. I am coming from a defective AHC system (rode like it had bricks in the suspension) in my '01 LX470, so my reference is skewed...but I like it.

Thanks.

IDK if the rear springs are L/R specific, but some manufacturers are. Maybe they installed the wrong way?

The rear springs are L/R specific.

Hmm, ok, so that could possible be the issue. Do you know how I could easily tell if they are incorrectly installed when they are on the truck? I suppose I could go out and look and see if there is an L and R on them. I also assume that L is driver side and R is passenger side?

Thanks.

FYI Ironman is based out of Australia so all of their products are designed for RHD vehicles. Here in the US you will want to put the spring with the L on the passenger side and R on the driver side.

These comparisons are very subjective. I went from OEM shocks (and tbars/coils) to Ironman Foam Cell Pro shocks (sticking with OEM tbars/coils+spacers) and there is a very noticeable difference between the luxo-ride of the OEM shocks, and the Ironmans. You will feel small bumps in a much more pronounced way. I still love the shocks, just don't expect all the benefits without some of the ride-characteristic drawbacks, especially on a stock-weight truck. IMHO, it's a harsher ride, but "for me", worth the tradeoff.

I was only partially spitballing. The toughdog springs for the US 100 have a slightly higher spring rate on the driver side, for the gas tank.
Installing on the wrong side is a reasonable explanation for that kind of difference in the back. The front is just TB

Well shoot. That could be a problem then. Looks like I may have a garage session soon to swap the springs side to side. I'll have to take a look and see how it is set up. Grrrrr. Seems like that is a relatively easy swap if its just the springs...then readjust the front torsion bars to get the rake/droop correct.

BTW, I also have an email in to MetalTech4x4 to confirm the spring placement. We'll see. Thanks again everyone.

Ironman foam cell 2" lift. Huge improvement over a tired/ailing AHC system.

What tire sizes are people running with this lift?
