JP wasn't interested last time I saw it...search on the bay $175, not mine.

btw if anyone want to bid, pm me to delete thread.

I was interesed just missed the auction

ordered the tires for Mary Ellyns 80 today 34x10.5 LTBs only to find out they have been back ordered for months......... so now I have shifted my eyes to the TSL Q78 which from what I can gather is essentially a 35.5"x11" tire  might be pushing my luck on these tall skinnys with the 2.5" lift

any of you 80 guys have thoughts on these Q78's these would only be for wheeling trips; keeping the 275's for the street

IMHO wider looks better on an 80

but 34 Inch Supper Swampers TSL with 16x8 Cragar Wheels make sure they are 16's if this is a good price?

And any load issues with the weight of an 80 and the skinny tire rating?

those are the ones I was looking for but that price is about 250 more than new for the tires :o

according to intercos webste each Q78 (35.5"x11") tire is rated for 2,600lb max load so that is roughly 10,500lb total I assume this is sufficent for the 80 series???

I found a pic of them on a Rover 110 and they don't look that skinny, but honestly I have a soft spot for the pizza cutters reference my old 40 in the next pic :D

JP, I just ordered a set of 34 10.50 15 LTB for the 60 last week. Got the lift on it and the tires. They look sweet on a 60 with 2.5" OME and 2" over stock shackles.

Go here.

Thanks Jeremy!!! I wonder if they have the 16" rim as well; I will give them a call

found some picks of the Q78's on an 80...... they look nice and aggressive it is the deepest tread pattern Interco offers :D I think these would do well in the mostly muddy wheeling conditions we see around here; I think I am going to give them a shot

I hope Christo Slee has your CC # to get those tires to fit. Can't wait to see them on. Nothing looks better than a lifted LC with knobby super swampers. I'm tired of passing Toyotas on the road with AT. Lets get some roar back on the pavement. When I was in high school, every 4x4 you passed had either TSL's or Boggers. Granted there wasn't much else offered, but it was great!

Tyres international has them for $136. I guess if there is a local 4WP's then it would be better. Shipping was only like $80 to my house. Plus you don't pay sales tax. I think you would be better to order them than drive to 4WP's.

and the Q 78 fits in the stock spare tire locale, now all you need to do is the tire carrier mod, and if your running two sets of wheels, how bout 2.5 bs for the off road set so you still have a nice stable stance?

Think he scored a second set of alloys

JP have you called Rick with Ralph Hayes?

I forgot that I did check with him first. He can get them, and I would have saved $15, even paying sales tax. However, I am 5 hours from there and it was better for me to order them. I would get them from Rick, he is very helpfull.

Jeremy

thanks for all the help fellas........ I just ended up going with the Q78 I couldn't resist :D I think they will be fine as I will running them only a few times a year and likely they will never see the highway

I wish I would have thought about Ralph Hayes before I placed my order........ I might give him a call here in a second and see what he can do maybe I can cancel my other order

and yes I scored a set of FZJ 16x8 rims that these will be going on...... I will have to see what issues I am going to run into until I get them mounted; I am running OME 2.5" mediums so I already plan on 1" spacers and extended bump stops plus caster correction and I assume longer brake lines...

Yeah, I took my damaged LTB in to 4WP last week and they told me they had 15 backorders for that tire! Come on Interco, pick up the pace here!

They told me it would most likely be march before they came in at the earliest

I also just found out today that the Metal Tech sliders won't be avaiable again until March seems all the mods I want aren't available :crybaby:........ it is a same I really like their design and Mark is a top notch guy! I am thinking Hanna sliders are now my next choice they are the only other ones that offer the cat protection

Gotta having something before Cullowhee or Mary E says I can't wheel the 80; and it is still to cold and wet for the top less 40
