Check with SROR, I think he makes a similar style. Some people cut and turn their cats also.

Yeah SROR would have been #1 on my list, but Jim isn't taking orders any more until around May time frame he said do to over welming orders.......... he said he needs the time to get caught:)

thanks for all the help fellas........ I just ended up going with the Q78 I couldn't resist :D I think they will be fine as I will running them only a few times a year and likely they will never see the highway

I wish I would have thought about Ralph Hayes before I placed my order........ I might give him a call here in a second and see what he can do maybe I can cancel my other order

and yes I scored a set of FZJ 16x8 rims that these will be going on...... I will have to see what issues I am going to run into until I get them mounted; I am running OME 2.5" mediums so I already plan on 1" spacers and extended bump stops plus caster correction and I assume longer brake lines...

go ahead and get slee's blue bushing and landtank's template. Trust me.

thanks for the heads up Alex; I ordered the bushing form Lance.... I assume they are OME I hope they are up to the task; guess Slee would have been better  Will look into lanktanks template

Luckly since the 80 will only be wearing these shoes a few times a year at best I can handle a few miles of sketchy steering/handling....... hell I imagine it will drive like a caddy with those 36" TSL's compared to the ride of my SOA FJ62 with no shocks..... and not to mention my front brake only 40; needless to say my past cruisers have shown my disregard for highway safety :hillbilly:

the 80 should still be a breeze compared to the others

and it looks like I am going slider less, Hanna is on a 4 week wait as well on their sliders.......... Oh well guess I will go ahead and put in an order with MT and just be patient and get the ones I wanted to start with..... I will just have to be uber careful wheeling the 80; If I damage Mary Ellyns 80 it will mean castration for me:eek:

You can always follow me. I will show how not to hit the big pieces of gravel on the roads and where to drive for the smoothest ride.

lol

hehe....... you do know handle a cruiser on gravel roads I'll give you that :D

.......... just don't let Mary Ellyn find out we have a cabin for that weekend:grinpimp:

Have you looked at georges design for sliders? thats whats on mine, you could probably get templates printed and do the welding pretty quick.

Agreed. That's what i have also. I'm about to get some tubing added to the outside to give me some steps and a rub bar. BUt as they are now, they're pretty stout.

JP, I have j's and an ARB loaded with a 12,000 winch and i needed the blue bushings. When i was with a medium front spring and stock front bumper (ride height was about the same as now) and the supplied OME bushings, i still was behind on caster.

The reason i think landtank's template really helps is it compensates for axle-on-axis rotation. It really helps prevent driveline grrrrrr. Just ask me how i know about all that garbage that you don't want to even start messing with. :bang:

Mine have a tube added (getting pretty beat up and passenger side starting to curve)....I am planning on cutting them off and adding new ones like metaltech.
