I just wanted to throw up a couple of pics of my new to me 40. It is new to the states from Bolivia and is mostly stock. Seats are Montero Sports covered in Bolivian leather, rims are froma Nissan Patrol, custom interior wheel mount, Toyota winch ;), NO RUST!!!

Thanks for looking.

Very nice and thanks for sharing the pics. I live in Bolivia. How did you import the car to the US, do you have any connection with Bolivia?

Saludos, Gijs

Hola Gijs,

Si, tengo todo mi familia en Argentina!! I bought it here in Arizona and that owner had it imported from Bolivia just a year or 2 ago. I really like the fact that the truck is from South America.

Saludos,
Steve

Nice cruiser, enjoy!

Winch doesn't look Toyota - maybe a Warn variation? Still nice to have one on there. It is neat to see the little changes and differences between the south american cruisers. No dash, air cleaner assembly is different, etc..

I've always wondered why the air cleaner assemblies resembled the F motor - was it for emissions or something?

Nice score and beautiful kids! I have 3 girls and a boy and they love to climb around in the cruiser too.

Welcome!

Wow!! Great find! Looks clean, really like the interior. Do the seats recline as well? Any chance of posting some pics of the attachment to the floor? Thanks and welcome :)

Seats do recline, I'll try to get some pictures of the custom mounts tomorrow.

Thanks for the comments dmaddox,

The winch says TEQ on it, I will post another picture and maybe someone can chime in with some more information. It is electric NOT PTO.

WOW

I remember when my 78 looked like that, I bought it new in middle 1979. If I live long enough it will again. Thanks for posting this.

Thanks Claudia, one day! Right now I am working on my 80 and then want to get the 40 where I want it. You guys need to come down to Tucson every once in a while;)

Sweet ride. Looks a lot like mine. I'd get some replacement lenses for the turn signals (I bet the rears need it too.) They're fairly cheap and look way better than the old yellowed ones.

nice Cruiser!!!

Uh oh, is the littlest one plotting on taking it off your hands in 15yrs? She looks a little tooooo comfortable in the drivers seat. LOL

The truck's nice, but as a father, I gotta congratulate you for putting the smiles on your two little ones. Cars and trucks come and go, but your kids and the memories of them when they're little are priceless.

Good job.

Sweet ride! Nice not having to fix the usual rust.

I dig that whole dash set up. Can you snap a couple more pics of it if you get a moment.

Will do Jake, I should have some more time this weekend to take some more. Since it is from South America the old panel was in km/hr.
