Intro... Long time lurker, first time poster...

Okay like most people with a land cruiser I spend countless of hours lurking thru mud, and I can always find what I'm looking for, so I never bothered joining... Well today I figured why the hell not, I'm on here enough as it is... I have a 77 fj40, had it for 2yrs now and done stuff to it here and there... Still looking to go SOA and add PS to it..... and maybe the main reason for actually joining is because I just purchased another 40 that's going to need a lot of work... I paid the guy and told him I'd be back in a few weeks to pick it up, now it's been a few weeks already so hopefully this weekend I'll have time to bring it back to my place and really go over it...

Welcome, nice looking rigs. Is it just me or does the roll bar make an FJ40 look right? That home-made roll bar just sticks out like a sore thumb.

Well for sure it needs a new floor pan, seats, steering wheel, and gas tank (which is the reason its in the state that its in)... The guy I got it from said his friend had it when everything was good and driveable, the tank developed a leak so he took it out along with the seats in attempt to fix it.... Then he ended up getting another 4x4 vehicle and the 40 just sat to rot away after that... But aside from that it also has a few other rust spots that need to be taken care for sure.... Also plan on removing the ugly roll bar and replacing it with something better, and will probably swap he rear axle at some point, I don't know what it's from yet, but the guy said it might be from a newer Toyota either way it's 5lug it also has a 350, auto, NP203 transfer case, Dana front axle, SOA...

i wasn't planning to but i think i will, since it will be a lot of work, hopefully making one ill be able to get help, ideas, ect.
