I have no connection with this, just saw it on Craigslist this morning.
1997 Toyota Landcruiser-diesel!

I didn't see it with a quick search of the diesel 80 series registry here on mud. Anyone know anything about it? At that price, you would think the tent would be included. Not much info, but here is a copy/paste:

For that price you could have one really built cruiser and three others to drive on other week days.

Finally, you'll never make the diesel catch up probably anymore on the fuel cost difference. Diesel here is almost 70 cents a gallon more than unleaded (non-premium). :crybaby:

care to expand on "one really built and three others" claim?

Makes sense to me, built one cost $25k to build, and the 3 stock ones for $9, and that would be really clean stock one's and an insanely built fj. I believe my built '93 will end up costing me about $12k, and that's purchasing the rig with lockers, 4" lift, gears, 37's, wheels, bumpers, winch, and sliders.

Actually....nope.

Really built to "me" is most certainly different than your interpretation.

I love how 52K doesn't even get you the tent- like he's offering the thing at such a rock bottom price that you shouldn't even dare to suggest he throw in the tent. Awesome.

I suspect that this guy pissed off his wife over how much he had been spending on the truck, she demands he sell it. He (not wanting to sell it) posts it for how much he has in it, plus some more, and never gets a buyer for his 80 and gets to keep it.

I can hear his argument now "you don't expect me to sell it at a loss do you? That's just throwing money away..."

HO PUHLEAZE! $52k!?

You can get a 6.5L for < $1k on governmentliquidators. Relax people share some love.

I didn't think a Chevy could go 1,000,000 miles. Maybe he meant 5200?

Yeah price is a tad high parts don't even add up to that
I'm seeing
8k in motor (i've seen new 6.5's for about that)
1300 in adapter
maybe 2500 in wheels and tires.... maybe
800 in rack
895 ARB bar
800 aux tank
2000 rear bumper
200 awning
300 snorkle
400 lights
maybe 600 on the winch (doesnt say brand)

Doesn't say much about the actual cruiser so i'll guess a 6000k base price for that =
23995 so unless the labor cost for the conversion 28005 to make the 52k he is trying to actually make money on it..... good luck with that.

Reality check on aisle five! The asking price is delusional. Is a 75 gallon fuel capacity with one auxilary tank feasible with this model?
