Reality check on aisle five! The asking price is delusional. Is a 75 gallon fuel capacity with one auxilary tank feasible with this model?

I'm pretty sure that Long Ranger out of australia offered replacement tanks (an upsized stock location tank and then a 45 gallon auxillary) would get you pretty close to 75 gallons. At 7lbs per gallon that's some weight back there before you add a drawer system etc.

Thrilled to see that in my local area. Just in case I wreck mine, I can use it as a comp to negotiate a higher price with the insurance.

my built '93 will end up costing me about $12k, and that's purchasing the rig with lockers, 4" lift, gears, 37's, wheels, bumpers, winch, and sliders.

By the time I'm done with mine, I'll be little over that.

Only $51k now? Wow, what a bargain! I'll take two...

Figured I'd update this little thread, this cruiser is still for sale 5 months after this thread started.

97 Toyota Land Cruiser Diesel

But, he has almost cut his price in half, $27k now. That's probably somewhere near what the sum of the parts cost, going off of what was posted earlier here. I wonder how many calls he's had on it. I should call just to bug him, maybe if I get bored over the weekend.

Looks like the roof top tent is now included. Heck, I'm sold- honey where is my check book? Lol, not today...

If I was starting out from scratch and absolutely had to have a diesel, its not a terrible deal if you have the coin.

someone needs to call him and go all craigslist tweeker on him and offer him $2100 cash and a broken washing machine. You laugh but that was a serious offer I received when selling my built Tacoma.

Normally, I'm no fan of bling. But for 52k, the whole damn thing should be gold-plated.:hillbilly:

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:Yikes!!!! Too much $$$ for that conversion. You can make your own for a fraction of that. He will be very lucky if he sells it.

Anyone interested can have mine for 45k and I'll put it in a container and ship it to you.

Dave,
I'd give you 45k for yours before what that guy wants for his poser. I'm down for something like yours, probably has rubber mats? It's a lot more like the FJ55 with that new LandCruiser smell that I remember from 1976...

Not that I don't appreciate the comforts of the 80 luxoboats they sold us here in my dotage, but I'm old enough to remember when LandCruisers ALL came with rubber mats.

Gee, and I never thought I had a rubber fetish until thinking about this just now...
:censor:

Seriously, nothing kinky involved, just sparked a memory I wanted to share.:D

Toyota already built the ultimate adventure vehicle in the 80 series. I just wasn't offered in North America.

:princess: probably told him, "honey, it is time to sell your truck. We are in a different place in our life." His response, okay :princess:! In a few months, he will have proven to her that he really did try to sell it. Now, he gets to get it for life, as planned. ;) So many haters here! We should support a brother and say that "truck" is worth 50k, at least.
