Hi All,

I am investigating the possibility of having a front bumper for the 100 Series designed and manufactured by Shrockworks (Bumpers, Rock Sliders, Rocker Protection, Skid Plates, ShrockWorks). Some of you have probably seen the great work they did for the recently released 4th Gen 4Runner Bumper. That bumper was the direct result of a commitment to buy at least 20 pieces by members of the toyota120 forum.

I contacted Shrockworks and they are willing to do it again if we get enough pre-orders going. They are located in Houston, TX and they will probably need someone to volunteer their 100 Series as a model. In exchange the model owner may get a heavily discounted bumper.

This could be a great opportunity for us to have some new product options for the 100 LC. TJM has pulled out of the US market which leaves ARB as the only bumper supplier. Lets start a list of potential buyers that we can present to Shrockworks and get rolling on this. Please also note next to your name if your LC could be used as a model.

Thank you.

I emailed them a couple of times in the past and they said that they had way too much work to support the 100 series. He recommended Slee and Hanna.

I emailed them as well and was told that they would consider it when sufficient demand supports the project. They want to make money and if we can show them that a bumper for the 100 Series will be profitable (especially with TJM out of the picture) they will make one.

Anyone seriously interested, please add your name to the list. Once we have enough names I will contact Shrockworks again to further define requirements and delivery times.

Let's get it done.

im a tad far. but if they want mine they can pay for shipping :)

they can keep it for however long they need it.

Great. Now we are getting started. Anyone else who is interested please add your name to the bottom of the list. Please only add your name if you are serious about the purchase and are willing to put down a deposit when the time comes. When I present the list to Shrockworks I need to be sure that most, if not all members on the list are ready to buy. Thank you.

I better start selling things. I'm serious in getting a custom bumper that only a few will have. Let us know what the deposit will be when you get any sort of qoute or idea. I'm putting mine up if they want it

This is great news since I am in Houston...Yes I can leave my truck for them to see/fab/measure etc...I also wanted to get an TJM but now that's not going to happen and Slee one is coming in summer of 2012..:o))

My truck is not DD so I can leave it there from M-F... but me purchasing the bumper will totaly depends on the design/look and price..

I'll sell you my TJM if Shrokworks pans out.

Considering that my buddy has had an Xterra front end on order with them since May or so of last year and still hasn't received it, I can see this taking a long time... And that's for a product that they already have the R&D done on.

At least they were honest.

TXLX470- Good luck on the test bumper. Hopefully I can send mine over there. I might have you look after my chrome brushguard :flipoff2:

Don't worry..I will take it to the rodeo and let the bulls take care of the chrome part.. they love chrome..:flipoff2:

Wow, that is a long time. I guess we won't know all the details until we get some interest going on the forum and show it to Shrockworks.

Again, if you are interested in getting this done and are willing to buy if the design and price are right, please add your name to the list.

Thanks.

get a list going in the first post... this will help figure out how many people we have

I installed a Shrockworks bumper on a Nissan Xterra I built for a Gold Mining Company here in Idaho. It was a quality piece. I would actually say it was a little on the heavy side for an Xterra considering what ARBs weigh for Cruisers. It was good quality. The wait on it was about 12 weeks.

I too contacted them a couple of different times after TJM supplies dried up. The first time (email and voicemail) they didn't respond at all, the second time (email) they told me they weren't interested in the 100 series market, even as a custom one-off. Based on their responsiveness and lack of interest (at the time), I pursued other options. Thanks to Gineric, I got the perfect bumper for me.

They DO look like they put a good product out there and their fabrication looks great, but their lead times make me think it's a very small operation and they must not keep much inventory.

Put me down as interested depending on design and price.
