X2. I had their sliders on one of my wranglers and can vouch for their quality.
Good to hear that everyone seems to be impressed with the quality. I'm sure that if we present enough buyers we will be able to get higher build priority.

I installed a Shrockworks bumper on a Nissan Xterra I built for a Gold Mining Company here in Idaho. It was a quality piece. I would actually say it was a little on the heavy side for an Xterra considering what ARBs weigh for Cruisers. It was good quality. The wait on it was about 12 weeks.

do you have a picture of the Xterra bumper?

Here's the Xterra bumper. This one was powdercoated grey. I had forgotten about that. The powdercoat was in pretty rough shape after shipping it from TX to Idaho.

wow..that's a neat looking bumper...did it come with that skid plate??

Yes it came with the skid plate. I think it was $950 total. It is hard to remember right off hand and we had it bundled with a Ramsey 9500 winch with the wireless controler. Shipping was combined with the sliders. So it wasn't so terrible per item.

Thanks for the info and pictures. Do you want to participate in the group buy? Lemme know and I'll put you on the list.

I think $950 is fully worth for that bumper and the skid plate...something like this(with the skid plate) would look nice on a 100.... any photoshop experts?? :D

Nice work. I can picture it on my LC. Now we just need more people to commit.

Put me on the list as well...thanks...nice looking and gives me time to sell my huge ARB bumper...!! (anybody want an ARB for cheap?, PM me...)

How many more? And can you get some details as to the time line that they expect once the order is made? Are we talking like 3-6 months or 6 months +...
I sent Shrockworks another email yesterday to get more details but have not heard back. I will let you know.

I have the bumper on my 4th gen 4Runner, was part of the original batch. IIRC, waiting time from original order to received product was 9 months. They kept us in the loop during prototyping, and allowed a few variations on the final product, i.e. no hoops, hoops tilted out, etc. They worked out the built-in lighting issue that we faced by having builtin lighing in the original bumpers. They were very proactive bunch of folks. There is an extensive thread at toyota120.com on the whole thing with lots of pics. Though the wait was long, I think everyone who got one loves it. Apparently Schrockworks is moving or just finished moving into a bigger place.

Sounds good. I will call them on Monday to get some more details from Shrockworks about this project.

Put me on the MAYBE list. Depending on price. Hopefully they can work out shipping to APO.. R...

Hi Everyone,

Just got off the phone with Joe, the owner of Shrockworks. He explained their processes and requirements to get our bumper project off the ground. Here are the key points:

1. We need at least 20 committed people to sign up
2. When we have enough commitments he will start the process of researching the truck, materials, feasibility, etc.
3. After Shrockworks complete their research they will decide if they want to go ahead with the bumper
4. Before they start the actual design process, all buyers will have to put 50% down and decide what options and colors they want
5. A volunteer will be required to leave their truck for two (2) weeks for initial measurements. A month later they may have to leave it again for another week.
6. This prototyping and initial fitting stage will take 6-9 months.
7. Once the design is finalized and ready for production it will take about 3 weeks for all orders to be shipped.
8. We will have options such as hoops, headlight protection, various tabs for lights or antennas
9. Color options are: Gray, Black, Silver, White or bare metal. These are all powder coat and there is no option to paint to match your truck. If you want to get matching paint you should order bare metal and have it painted locally.
10. No shipping to APO / FPO as the USPS cannot deliver such bulky / heavy items.

Now we just need another 12 people to sign up and we can get going. Let me know if you want to be added to the list.

Thanks.

holy s***....that really sounds like a PITA.

if i had to leave my truck there for 3 weeks they'd better give me a front bumper for free.
