Is there any interest in PnP HID projector headlights for the older Cruisers? A quality, HID Projector, OEM components, and a drop in relay harness for a reasonable price? I see these eBay headlights and they are awful, I have always wondered if the MUD community would be interested?

I have done roughly 20 80 Series Retrofits for MUD members and it has always been in the back of my mind to stock them and have no turn around time. I would like to do the same for the 60 Series Cruisers and possibly the 100 Series. The 100 Series is the most labor intensive, so those may not be "stockable". Labor would be lifetime, parts is 5 years.

80 Series HID Retrofit shown for example.

Thoughts?

I would be interested depending on the price.. The only other light I have seen out there for the FJ6x series is the truck-lite LED's but at $500 for a set I can wait until the price comes down.... if ever...

I know I would be intrested

I have thought something like these demon eyes would look cool for our rigs.

I might be interested depending on price and function of light. Problem I have seen with other retrofit lights and one of the reasons I went back to Hella's was the cutoff and blinding oncoming drivers. G wagons use a 7 inch housing.

For the 80, the Depo lights require no modification if using the Morimoto D2S projectors, right? I thought I read they mount right up to the back of the reflector bowl. Curious to hear pricing...

I have subscribed to one of your earlier productions. On my to do list... I am interested to see what the price would be.

As of right now the average price for a 80 Series Depo is ~800. This includes parts, labor, headlights and a lifetime warranty on labor. I would like to see it down around 650-700 but since I prefer using OEM components (these rigs see remote areas, a headlight failure would NOT be good). The 100 Series average cost is 1100+ with new housings and 60-Series is roughly $750. Prices are very high, however I have contacted Depo to purchase bulk and have them instock. I have yet to get a reply but will keep this thread rolling.

If you have any questions please PM me or post up! I'll be happy to answer any questions.

All is well! I sent you an email a few minutes ago. Talk soon! I would delete the S2000 projector, it's not bi-xenon, and even with a clear lens, the only thing it really offers is a very sharp cutoff. The 3" FXR (I have installed on mine) is your best bang for you buck, however if you want distance and width the LS460 is the best option, however the most expensive projector on the list. If you want a excellent projector with the best of both worlds I would recommend the G37, with a clear lens, modified high beam, and Osram 66240 CBI or Phillips 85122+ it is a outstanding projector and to top it off...it's a 3" lens, which would fill out the 100 Series housings quite well. With the right shroud (E-46R, GTI-R, etc) and the projector recessed into the housing it would look OEM and you would not see any of the mounting brackets/adhesive. However the spacing between the driver side battery and the back of the projector/D2S bulb can get a bit close.
