I have been working on some 80 emblems to replace the factory "sombrero" emblem on the 95-97 Landcruiser and the "L" emblem on the 96-97 LX450. I came up with a couple ideas and made a batch of them. Some have been shipped out to members and others are ready for print as soon as I get the final measurements off of an 80 yota grille. The point of this thread is to show my ideas and see if there is any interest to making a bunch of these. I have currently been building the prototypes on my work printer but it is a little low quality and has had a TON of issues and needed (expensive) repairs during my prototyping process. I'm thinking about getting my own heavily upgraded 3-D printer to make a large batch of these. I just can't afford to keep repairing this low budget printer. I just want to make sure the interest is there before I put a huge chunk of money down on a new printer. I'm not looking to make a profit here but I would like to cover at least some of the cost of the printer with a batch of emblems. Here's what I need from you guys. Just post up onto this thread if you would be interested in one. Let me know in your post if you have a yota or an LX and what design and color combo you would want. I can pretty much make any design with any color text you like. I also have blue and yellow filament and may order some silver and gold as well if there is enough interest. You are not comminting to anything. This is just to give me a rough idea on interest and which ones will be more popular then others. I'm not looking for criticism or haters on this thread. If you have some ideas, criticism, or changes you would like to see then I would love to hear them and just send them in a PM. If there is enough interest then I will go ahead and order the printer and get a bunch made and will start a for sale thread at that time. Anyone who shows interest will be PMed at that point. I'm gonna let this thread run for two weeks and make my decision then. If we can get remotely close to my break even point then I will order the printer. Those that are waiting on one already will get it )will be printed on my work printer) as soon as I get a yota grille to make my final measurements from. Here's some pics.
