Hi, How hard? Did you pull the head when doing a spark plug hole? Thanks

Put grease on the drill bit to capture metal shavings.
There are videos on Youtube describing how this is done without removing the head.
My son had a blown out Spark Plug #5 and had a shop drill out and install a Time Sert.
My notes are that this was used: Fix-A-Thread Repair Kit M14-1.25
Been 3 years and the shop cost was $590.
If it was my Land Cruiser and not a daily driver I think I would have tried to do this myself.
Been 30K miles on the Sert and life is good.
There are kits on Amazon if you want to DIY it.

I did it myself on my wife's daily driver, following a YouTube video and taking my time. I paid for the more expensive timesert kit on Amazon. When seating the thread insert I almost got the tool stuck in the head! Go slow, regrease often, blow it out with compressed air, and follow the instructions. That was 10,000 miles ago so it worked :)

Which Spark Plug was it? Mine was #5.

#4, passenger side (not a bad location, all things considered). I changed all 8 plugs and coils while I was in there. Hope to never have to do that again.
