Does anyone know the size of this bolt and the correct Time Sert kit to purchase to repair a stripped out hole in the aluminum housing to the oil pump for this repair?
I saw someone mention M10 x 1.5, but I have no way to verify that.
Kits available are:
It's my first time using time sert for a repair.
Back story is 2 timing belt changes ago, I removed the tension bolt and it removed the aluminum from the bolt hole (thanks dealership for probably over torqueing the bolt on the first ever timing belt change) I didn't have time to explore options so I put a slightly slimmer washer on the bolt, caught a couple of threads, lightly torqued it, and drove it for 130k miles no issue.
Yesterday I replaced the timing belt again, also needed to wrap the job up bc needed the truck today, but this time I only felt one-ish decent thread holding it in there, so applied the thread lock but I'm not sure about pushing this another 100k like I did last time, and I hate the idea of this letting loose at any time, especially on the long road trips I like to make for Overlanding/camping adventures. Sucks to have to undo everything again but I'll have a spare vehicle for a week starting this weekend so I want to repair this the best I can without removing the engine.
