Installed new Depo headlamps from group buy

I quickly scanned through these 7 pages but didn't see anything directing me to where I might be able to buy some? Anyone have any info on how to purchase these headlights?

Check @ranma21 signature... He's the MUD supplier I believe....

Bringing back an old thread to life....I wanted to see if anyone had updates on the longevity of the depo housings?

Also, I have a 2006 and have attached all four bolts to secure the headlights, but my driver side light is still not as secure as the passenger side. Just wanted to check and see if anyone else has had the same problem? I think the next step will be to use plastic spacers at the moUniting points to try and make the fit more secure. My set of depo lights was retrofitted for his projectors and with the cleaner light cutoff, the wobbliness of the loose housing is just significant enough to be annoying.

Mine are about 15 months old (~25k miles and my truck lives outside) and they look like they did the day I installed them. Very happy with the build quality so far.

Installed last June and they still look new, driver's side had an issue with the interior fogging up occasionally but I fixed that after reseating the bulb and the rubber cap thing that covers the connector.

Overall build quality isn't up to OEM standards and the beam pattern leaves a little to be desired, but I'm plenty happy with them. That being said I still have my original hpsuings... just in case.

My 2 cents on the sylvania silverstar ultra's is they don't last. Went through 3 sets and one bulb always gave out (they're not cheap)so went back to Toyotas OEM and problem solved!

Time to resurrect the dead thread. I installed black depos today and it went fine minus one of the grill retaining clip things broke off in transit. But I can’t for the life of me figure out what is happening with the lights. The passenger side low beam does not work. Ever at all. The running light bulb below works on that side. The drivers side the lights all work fine except the running light. They are hooked up exactly the same. I might research the inside bulb connectors once it’s not -25 out.

Could it be as simple as a bad bulb?

If I remember correctly all 4 headlight bulbs are the same model.

I suppose. But then I wonder why the day time running light doesn’t work on the other side. I’ll take a look at it tomorrow I suppose b

To add to the confusion, I'm pretty sure that the DRLs are the "high beam" bulb/filament being run at reduced voltage.

Had the same issue - two bulbs were loose no joke, and one of the running lights were dead. Just removed, re-twisted and all has been good for more than 2 years..... hth. Replaced the one running light with an LED from @pfran42 that was dead.

The bulb not lit is the low beam and the lit bulb below the non lit one is the DRL correct? Or do I have a fundamental misunderstanding?

So the bulb under the low beam is the acting DRL bulb right?

If I remember correctly:

The bulb under the low beam (Depo), is the "parking" or "marker" light that used to be on the outside edge of the headlight (under the plastic shield that turns yellow and brown with age) on the older OEM headlights.

The actual DRL function is in the high beam bulb.

Phew it is cold at your ends for sure, we are 50 today. For the low beam, most likely is the bulb connection loose or bad bulb. Remove the rubber cap and check the bulb and connection, you can simply swap the passenger low beam bulb to the driver side to confirm. As for the light below the low beam, your bulb is probably bad.

For the record, approaching four years with these headlights installed, still zero issues and they still look new. Can't argue with the quality, imo.
