I have a 77 and the hazards work only with headlights off. The driver's side front and back flash, but the passenger side does not. My interior lights do not work either new bulbs today. The blinkers do not come on, but the left hazard flasher works. The running lights on the front are very dim too. I don't know where to start. Any help would be appriciated. How do I test if I am getting current? Thanks in advanced....Everything else seems to work. Lights, taillights, brakelights....:bang:

Are all these problems started appearing on your truck, or are these problems that came with it and you are repairing it.
You may start by
1- Get a wiring diagram for the 77, and a factory service manual, or a more specific to cruisers Haynes manual.
2- Buy a multimeter and learn how to use it. Mainly , how to test for voltage and measure it across a circit, how to measure resistance and check for continuety .
3- Disconnect the batt cables. Do some cleaning on the fuses block after removing it ,use a file or wire brush to get all contacts clean.
4- Check fuses and bulbs.
5- Start tracing your faulty circits.
There are many posts with signal problems questions, you can search and read away.
Coolerman has a lot of very usefull stuff in his site.
You will likely get more feed back from other more knowing members.
Good luck and wllcome to mud.

All that Vicm said, plus, CHECK YOUR GROUNDS! Especially the lights. Toyota for some reason likes to supply the ground for the lights through contact with the sheet metal. Any rust, and you lose the ground connection. Solder some ground wires to the backs of the reflectors for all the lights, and run them to bolts on the inner fenders or frame. Make sure the engine block is grounded with a LARGE ground wire. Also the Battery to the frame ground needs to be pulled off and the area it attaches to should be ground down to bare metal. Don't forget to remove the corrosion from the terminals themselves. Ones put back together, coat the connections with liquid rubber or something to slow future corrosion.

Good luck!

With that many electrical problems simultaneously, it sounds like 1 or more bad grounds between the device and the chassis and frame.
