Insane RTT deal Group Buy....interest?

Who would be interested in an insane price on some RTTs? A well known RTT company is going out of business. I emailed them and one of their reps emailed me back. Basically I would have to order 12 units at least.

I am checking on shipping costs. Does anyone here have a business that is around Charlotte or close that could house them when shipped until everyone could pick them up? I could have them delivered to my house, but since I am in AVL it might be difficult for some on the east coast.

I don’t want to post the price or company here (I don’t want anyone that is random Googling to steal the deal)....but PM me if you are interested and I will let you know what it breaks down to, company, the exact tent and all info. The price she gave me is just crazy. Like...crazy enough you need one just because it is so cheap.

Ok....they all have to be shipped to the same place....commercial or residential. He has 25 tents left as of now. Once the order is placed he will hold it for 24 hours so the funds can be wired. Then they will contact UPS for freight costs. Before the costs were like $180-200 per tent (and that was drop shipped...which is typically more)...so it should be similar or hopefully less, I think.

I think we might be able to get these for xxxxx, but I have no idea until we get shipping info. I can take delivery at my house if no one else can, but keep in mind I am in the AVL area.

I am just going to post the info:

Price I was quoted via email is like xxx-ish plus shipping (normal drop ship was $xxx per tent, but not sure on this many tents). They have to ship them all to the same place. They only have 25 tents left....so I am hoping to get enough commitments before they sell them.

@sleepycruiser Post this to CLCC and the South Carolina clubhouses (if you haven't). They're all close enough that you might get some takers.

AND...I'll probably be heading to Northern VA and maybe into PA towards the end of June, so mudship might be a possibility.

That is what we are hoping.

The exact price was Xxxx per RTT, plus shipping.

He hasn’t called me back so I am getting nervous.

Ok....so he has 12 tents left. He won’t sell just 6. He sent 7 pallets to Idaho and the shipping was $xx per tent....so that should put these at less than $xxx per tent shipped....give or take. Worst case would be $xxxx I would think.

We need 8 more people.

Hell for that price, put me down as a maybe, I will figure out how to get it later. that is like 75% off!!!

Also, I know they are in SC, but @Trollhole or @Southeast Overland might pick up a couple to resell.

A few things....to do this everyone would need to pay pretty quickly once we get the 12....I see that as the biggest holdup, besides actually getting the 12 people relatively quickly. We will need to designate one person to send the funds to and then that person will wire to Mombasa. I don’t mind being that person....but I would prefer it to be someone that most people here knew since I have only met a few of you. (Who am I!?). But I am willing to do whatever to get a RTT at this price.

Basically he has dealers he has dealt with for years and he actually wondered how I heard about it...lol....but said he would sell them just so he doesn’t have to deal with finding someone else.

Correspondence I just received when asking if I could order the last 12 tents he has:

“Hi Dirk

Absolutely!!!

1) Email me an order including any accessories/parts and we will do an invoice and email back to you W/O the freight charges.
2) Once we get the order I will send you wiring instructions and assemble the order on pallets.
3) We will get a freight quote from UPS. Or you can arrange pick up with your own carrier...your call
4) Once we give you the freight quote you will have 48 hours to pay/wire the funds.

Please let me know if you need anything else or unclear on the above.
