How'd Spike get to Tibet in the first place?

And I thought I was badass in our LC in Tibet without a windshield and leafsprings held together by bailing wire.

I can't tell you how common s*** like that is there.

How can you post something like this without pics? I want to see chinese bailing wire

In all fairness, they were in two different cruisers. The windowshield one I was only in for about 1hr.

The broken springleaf we dealt with for about a month. I don't have any pics. I do have some of when we got the cruiser swamped and then a couple of days later stuck.

18 hours to get tow truck there? What did you do in that 18 hours?

Well first off the tires were a little light on tread.

Second we didn't have a usable shovel, only a POS Chinese one.

Third, the bottle jack didn't work.

Fourth, it was a five or six mile hike to the support truck

Fifth, we got the support truck stuck.

Sixth, it was about 10-15 miles back to the main road. Lucky for us, a local nomad gave our driver a ride. Purchased a bottle jack from a truck driver. This Chinese POS bottle jack didn't work either.

Seventh, it was another motorcycle ride back to the main road where we had to wait for and convince someone to come pull both vehicles out of the muck.

Sadly, we had already lost the previous two days after we flooded the LC and this didn't help. We were actually pretty lucky to be so close to a main road. Someone I work with lost a week after stuck in the middle of nowhere. It is pretty routine to get stuck like this so the best thing to do is open a beer and watch the fun.
