Events/Trails I’m in the States heading north

So it’s been since September 2 when I started traveling in my 40, lucho, from Peru. I went to Brazil, then south then north. I just shipped to Mexico from Cartagena and am finally about to head into Texas tomorrow.

I’m posting my approximate route I’m taking. If any 40 friends are along this route and would like to share some 40 stories over a beer it would be great to break up my trip. We can talk about all the things that didn’t break if we only have a couple. But if there’s enough beer we can go over the list of things that needed

Is there a reason you are going to Nashville? From I-40 (just outside of Memphis) I have taken I-55 to I-57 to I-70 to Indianapolis then north. Have a good trip.

If you are willing to make a slight change to your route and take Interstate 24 from Nashville to Chattanooga, TN, I will meet you and buy a meal and beer for both of us. Show you my 1964 SOA FJ40. Chattanooga is a great river town tucked into some cool mountains (what we call mountains anyway). You will be 90 miles south of Knoxville so not much of an impact. Hope you can make it.

My brother live in Chattanooga also. There is a chance I’ll go that way. Depends on how long it take so me getting to Tennessee.

I’ll definitely let you know when I’m in Nashville for a frew.

GOing 55-60 mph on the highway isn’t working out great. SO I I’ll probably try and find some smaller roads.

After traveling for 10 months in countries with food stands and dinners serving fresh home cooked meals, CHEAP . It sure is hard if you don’t know the area to find non fast food options along the highway. My stomach is definitely not use to food in the USA yet.

I I’ll try to be in Murfreesboro tomorrow. Near Nashville. I need to change my front leaf springs. Hoping to get some ome 2” heavy duty. I put these I not the back already. Are they the same for front and back? I got the rear ones from 4wheel parts

I'm just south of Nashville close to 840. If you aren't hitting Nashville before Murfreesboro, you'll be on 840 most likely.

Fronts are different than the back. AND they're left and right to compensate for the Land Cruiser Lean. How long will you be around?
