if I remember correctly one cover was larger than the other
You could put the smaller cover on the later years but you would have to bore a hole in the end of the cover for the end of the wiper motor to poke through. And also would have to drill two new holes into the windshield frame as only two of the four holes would line up in the cover.

Yes, he sells parts, is a master carb rebuilder, and knows these trucks incredibly well. @65swb45 is old school and does business over the phone.

I couldn't get his link to work either.

I drove to the grocery store with a can of pop on the passenger side front fender. It was 8 minutes down the road... and it was still there when I got there.
Thanks Smurf! I’ll give him a call

I’ve run over a couple winch controllers at this point. Sometimes the tire is the easiest place to put things. The guy I got the winch from didn’t have the remote when I bought it- same thing. Maybe the winch is cursed. There was a monkey paw…

Two of the three bushings broke when the arms popped off. Not sure if that’s in item that available
Looks the same as mine - i just fitted some windscreen wiper repair clips and its been fine ever since.

Your web site doesn’t seem to be working 🤷‍♂️
Yeah, I noticed that too.☹️

My daughter and SIL have been taking care of my website hosting for the last 8 years and something happened about a month ago that they are still trying to work out…in their spare time!😛

It’s a good thing I do my business by telephone.😊 Just leave me a voicemail and I’ll call you back on Monday when I’m back in the office.😊

Aha! I have a pic in my cellphone! Looks like at least two mustards

Slow Poke,

The end bulge in your original photo looks to be factory stamped. Without any other views of it or the windshield frame and motor bracket, cannot determine if it was intended for one of the Toyota factory 40/45 series external wiper motors, or some other vehicle. I believe the two known cover versions do not have that end bulge. If your truck was made other than in the Japan factory, could be from a satellite assembly factory.

Perhaps some additional photos and some measurements of your existing cover would help determine before you buy something that may not fit.

@Bear is absolutely right. Going back to the first post and looking at your cover, I too have my doubts. In fourty years of wrenching on cruisers, I have never seen a cover like that. All the ones I have are smooth on both ends.

I remember one of the cruiser parts sites was making reproductions of the cover around 10 years back. Maybe it is not an original Toyota made part with that bulge in the side. I seem to remember one cover variation even being plastic that someone was having made and selling. maybe one size fits all, both the bigger and smaller wiper motor.

A few years back I left a wheel lock key on a front fender and went for a joyride in my cruiser before sunset. I was outside with a flashlight retracing the route until I found it.

Got your voicemail late. Out of the office today. I will call you back tomorrow.

That's why I post a picture of my two covers and motors on post 14. My cover was crudely altered. I tried the unalterd cover on the big motor and it didn't fit. Both covers were the small covers.
