laughing a little here cause i did exactly that to a 1971 GMC jimmy many moons ago, looked pretty sweet and got lots of compliments... still though "i've scratched that itch" and LOVE the driveability of my LIFTED 60...

one of my other rides..... this one used to be an award winner till i tore it apart to do more money wasting crap.

Like Atlas said: the wheels are unrealistically large.

How hard would it be to give it a 6" chop. And/or an Avalanche bed?

Maybe a blower scoop sticking out of the hood?

an Avie look like this....I just chopped 16 in outa her too

sacriligous. If you ever wanna slam and bag something, sell me your 60 and buy an S-10 or mini truck, or something that was 2wheel drive from the factory. Those old 69-72 chevy's look pretty sweet that way, but not a cruiser.

an old thread i like the slammed 60's.... thats all...

that had to of been the ugyest thing I seen in a while. on other trucks ok But not a 60

my brother did a ghetto one of mine i'll see if i can find it

here it is:

It's nasty with the huge wheels. With some smooth baby moons on deep-dish steelies, white walls, and a rack, an FJ could be a cool wagon for rolling around town. And losing the t-case, front diff and a spring or two would only improve the fuel economy. Maybe swap in a 22RE...

And around Portland and Seattle, I've seen several FJ's (including a 55) on huge rims with rubber-band tires--nasty, yucky, foul!!!

I'm a huge fan of custom vehicles, and I firmly believe that anything can look good if done right. There are few vehicles that look good with dubs, and the trusty LC just ain't one of 'em, as far as I'm concerned...

But hey, to each his own. Here in Portland there was a chopped, slammed, purple and chrome '50s Willys Panel sitting outside a muffler shop for years, and it was horrific, despite the fact somebody obviously lavished considerable time and money on it.

Oh Ducks, if you could've seen the 'eighties treatment this poor Willys received... Tunnel ran, dual carbs, sub-framed IFS, tilit nose, tinted windows, severe chop job, panty purple paint, Modern (butt ugly) five spokes, lowered in front, slightly lower than stock rear, Chrome everything...

Looked like Poison's tour van for the State Fair Circuit.

What's worse is it belonged to the proprieter of an affordable, competent exhaust shop that specialized in custom work, so you saw it fairly often.

:bounce:don't know about u guys but a dropped i mean slammed fj60 cream/tan colored would look sweet..........

especially with the 60 equipped with so much factory chrome.....

it would look sweet because its soo boxy.

i would put some nice 20 inch and up polished wheels on them and drop the 60 all the way to the ground.

it would be a sweet lookin retro shagmobile

oh well maybe if i have a few dollars here and there i'd drop a cressida or a corona sedan / wagon

but it might be impossible to drop an fj60...:grinpimp::beer::bounce2:

many things in life, including this, remind me that
