Picking up a 72 fj40 Saturday morning. I am looking for a few parts that maybe I can pick up along my way. Im looking for a rollbar, stock rims and hubcaps, a decent hood and a rear tire carrier. If you have anything please let me know. Bonus points if you are close to I26.
Thanks
Steven

Steven I have a roll bar you can have that works with the early style long jump seats, it is not factory though and I am not close to I-26 however it is located in Augusta GA if you are interested.......

 and good luck with your new cruiser

Got it home late last night. It was an adventure. I will have to post the story later. I'm going to try and get her started today (coil/distributor issues I think).I don't have any pictures of my own yet since I havent loaded them onto the computer but some of you may recongnize the truck. Its already to an UC sticker and Mud sticker! I got it from a guy who guys by MudHunter on here: 1972_fj40 Photo Gallery by kncrsr5r at pbase.com

Nice looking 40 - what are your plans? I remember seeing that 40 a few times on Mud.

Not sure yet. I bought it not running. The coil was wired wrong and the dizzy is 180 off. Got it running today but need to time and tune it.

That truck was at OTMT and did pretty well from what I remember... Before that it was owned by dukebluerog on ONSC. I remember when he was selling it over a year ago... Congrats!

I know that truck.

Yep....She is a little promiscuous.....and has been passed around the UC a few times. I got the truck for $2500, which I think is less than he bought it for. It has a new Toyota distributor installed, new front bearings and seals, a few new parts, and some spare parts. I feel like I got a good deal. I bought it not running. He had been having starting/spark issues for a few months. Got it home late Saturday night. Sunday I replaced the battery, rewired the coil, and figured out the distributor was in 180 degrees out. 30 minutes later she is running. I still need to tune it good and was hoping to do that today but its raining right now. :crybaby:
