It took me over 2 yrs to admit it, but I miss my LC. There's pics out here of what I had somewhere, but the long and short of it is that I had a pretty modded LC and it was great. Part boredom part lifestyle change prompted the decision to get rid of it. A month after I did, I regretted it.

Here we are, now 3 kids and my 'fun' ride / daily driver just doesn't cut it for the family. I have been secretly searching for an LC but they are hard to come by in Canada.

I think I may have found an '09, in the dark green (the colour I should've got originally). It seems affordable, but the kms are at 87,000.

I need some support and advice...should I get it? My wife has a minivan to hold all the kids, but I want a man vehicle that will hold all the kids, plus, something that can pull my boat (which is currently stuck at 1 lake because I have no way of towing it).

Please help! Or maybe I need a therapist?

P.S. I know some of you will say "I told you so" and I knew that when I originally sold it.

87k km is nothing on a cruiser, make it happen.

i remember when you sold it. she was pretty nice, but the 4runner seemed reasonable.

in rare moments i've thought of selling mine and getting something less thirsty/ more practical, but then i drive it and remember why i love it. i don't think i'll EVER spend that much money again for a vehicle and in hindsight would have been almost as happy with a used 100. but since she's paid off now, i'll keep her 'til the wheels fall off.

agree with the green, but what about a 100? not as fun as the 5.7, but less guilt. but either way, get your LC back. life's short.

Yeah, thought of a 100...but it's like eating chuck after a life of rib steak.

I thought the 4runner was going to be good, but it wasn't. Too small and underpowered.

Hey... A 100 is not chuck steak :bounce2: I'd accept that a 100 is Filet Mignon while a 200 is Kobe.

If a person wasn't in the market for an LC, I would suggest a 4runner or Lexus GX. Sounds like if those don't suit your needs then there is just one vehicle to own, get your LC again.

87kms is practically new, probably all easy highway miles. Anything under 200kms is still having it's break in period.

Oh man, you are gonna make me say it...

"I told you so!"

:)

PS >> Welcome back!

Hi Marc,

Does Toyota Canada even sell the LC200? I had a look at the Toyota Canada website, and there's no mention of the LC200, only the Sequoia.

Dos that mean that your LC200 was a private import?

If so, can you import a diesel LC200? That would be a unique vehicle...:)

My 200 was a private import...back in 2007 for the 2008 model year. Not sure you can do the diesel though as it is not on our list of approved vehicles. Something like that would need to be 15 yrs old or older.

i dont know how big your boat is but a 2007 100 series has 265hp/310 torque vs the 2008 200 series with 381hp/401 torque. just a tiny difference haha.

I know it's a totally different vehicle but a couple years ago i parted my diesel 80 all but the drive train and bought another vehicle. I have since sold the other truck and swapped my diesel drivetrain into a nice 80 and have been happy ever since. Point is, you just can't replace a cruiser...

Go for it and get the color/ trim you want. You owe it to yourself.

Well...I'm a wee bit closer to getting the vehicle I want. I've worked some stuff out with my current ride (which needs to go prior to getting a new rig) and I think I've found a low mile Green with Tan interior. Its just a matter of a couple of days now to see if this one pans out. If not, I am still on a search for either Black or Green, with Tan interior. I do not want the facelifted 2012, so hopefully people are returning some leases!

BTW...I did think about getting a 100 too, but I think the lower HP and TQ would not sit well with me, and I would be kicking myself for not getting a newer version. The boat I'm pulling is tiny so either would suffice for that purpose (16ft Crestliner with 45hp Merc, tiller drive to keep the weight down. Just a smaller fishing tub I can move around when I want).

Chimyz,

I never told you, you would regret it......but.....

Hey lets just focus on getting you back into the fold ;)

Hi ya doin...long time no talk!
I've been scouring manheim for a couple of weeks now, just waiting for the right one to come along. There are far and few. This may take a while, but I'm eager, and will find something soon.

Got it!
2009 Black and tan with 30,000 miles.
No pics, to dark out. it will probably mid next week before I can get pics at it as I am going underground for the next few days (not really, but going fishing, so I'll be busy).

Needs tires right away and weathertech mats. Other than that, a good detail (to get the other owner's stink out) and that's it for now.

Congrats ! I look forward to your new posts as you make this one "your own" ...

Congrats!
Let see pics!

Here are some cell phone pics

So far I have changed front brake pads, added BFG ATs and painted the front grille black (I think it should be this way from the factory, the grey and chrome bits didn't go).
