OK, so I know it's an easy one, but it's the first time I have fixed anything on a truck by myself (usually Dan is the one "helping" which means he won't let me touch anything - Love you little brother :flipoff2: ).

The truck just didn't start on Wed. I figured the fuel pump was dead. The PO put an electric fuel pump in and it wasn't doing that clicking thing it is supposed to do. I went to the autoparts store in town (GREAT place, local fellas run it, they will help you with anything - good people to know, and they wheel!) and picked up a fuel pump. Figured out that it needed 4-6 psi for the F engine from the repair manuals I have, and off I went. I drenched myself and the carport in gas, but that's cause I didn't pinch the line from the tank enough. But anyway...I know it's probably boring for y'all given your massive amounts of cruiser knowledge, but for me...it's a start!!

Cool, now you don't need me anymore....good luck!

Hard40- that reminds me of that Nascar commercial.. "Is that 93 octane your wearing?" LOL

Heather, GREAT job... There are so few of us ladies that will work on and know how to work on our own cars.. YEAH!!!

Not so fast little brother...tomorrow we conquer the alternator!

Good job! Some guys love that gasoline bouquet on a lady!

Know any that are single? Just kidding...Taylor said I stink, so I'll take that as a compliment.

Thanks! I figured its something I would like to do since I like fixing up the house and what not. I figure the replacement of parts shouldn't be that big of a deal. The body work...that's another story.

Way to go! Did you skin a knuckle or get a cut? You aren't
an official Cruiserhead until a blood sacrifice takes place. hehe
Ohm....cruiser,cruiser,cruiser....Ohm
I see grease in your future. :grinpimp:

I did not skin a knuckle or get a cut...this time. There's always tomorrow! I see grease in my NEAR future, I've got a leak somewhere I need to identify and fix.

Front crank is leaking :)

Good job Heather can you give my gf lessons, the most she has ever done is hold a flashlight for me.

Well Heather, you can learn how to do body work on your Piggy... What's the worst you can do right??? Not like you are working on your FJC or a Corvette, you know.. That is what Hubby and I are doing with our 40. We are trying to do it ourselves and if we mess it up or it doesn't look perfect, who cares.. :) If we ever do a frame off resto with it, we are going to buy a new tub anyways.. :) Good luck and keep up the good work.

great job heather. Well if you didn't skin your knuckle, please tell me you at least cursed at it a bit.:D

:censor: :censor: :censor: you not trying hard enough if your not cursing at the :censor: truck. :grinpimp:

Oh, I cursed. Especially when I got drenched in gas. I think I actually kicked the tire too. I am a readhead, afterall.

LMAO. I can so see that happening. mostly because that's what I do. :D I save up all the good curse words for auto repair and football season.

Oh no.. Heather is a Redhead!!! My grandmother was a Redhead.. One thing I learned "Don't piss off a Redhead." They have a temper.. If you are anything like my Grandmother I understand why your brother didn't want you to help when he was fixing anything..

I don't piss off redheads either... but it's great sport to watch someone else do it... come on Dan... egg her on!!!

Steen...you'd better behave. I know where you live AND I will have no problem calling Linda. I've stood up for the cruiser obsession so far, but you never know, I could change my mind! :flipoff2:

And you are right Stacy....never piss off a readhead!

I'm sure ya'll have kissed and made up since that spat. ;)

Yeah, it's getting better. After some electrical system inspection, a few new fuses, a new alternator on order, new winshield wipers and a purchasing a crap load of Por 50 stuff that just got here, the love affair continues.

That PIG you just bought killed all anti-cruiser credibility you could ever have used with Linda... not that she needs to hear a credible argument to use it against me of course.

I was telling her how nice the little piggy was... and maybe we should trade that Camry in on one for her. I got a quick :flipoff2: to that!

Steehn- LOL I wonder why the wifey said that.. LOL

Heather.. I never saw my Grandma ticked off. But then again anyone that had been smoking and working in a bar since they were 13 and owned a bar for Years doesn't need to prove themselves.. You just knew she was Bada$$ at the same time she was Grandma, best cooking on earth, and nicest person you could've ever met..
