I don't get it! You can put the 100 series pads in the front but not the rear??

I have the 100 series pads on the front and they work great, but how come they won't work for the rear?? doesn't make sense please help
 
what is there to understand? the 100 series is a very diffrent vehicle from the 80, we lucked out on the fronts bing able to fit (barely) , not the rears
 
Why is this question not part of the other thread below about the same thing?
 
They are different braking systems designed for different vehicles.

Why don't Celica pads fit on your 80?

Don't sweat the small stuff!

UHHH... 'cuz they are different? It doesn't make sense that the front pads do fit, but fortunately they do, sooo... consider yourself lucky.

I'm with you buddy. I am still ticked off 'cause the 100 Series V8 doesn't fit and the wheels don't fit and the rotors don't fit and the birfields don't fit. The windshield doesn't fit and the ....

The reason they don't work..., is because they're too big.
