Details means taking the black one back out after I remembered I printed a metallic Flourescent Green rear door sill; I mean where else would it go if not here, duh! @Hiluxforever

Lots of small updates this weekend, prepare for spam.

I would take the black or copper, or copper and black.
I was starting to wonder when someone would claim the copper!

Beautiful color, noob printer operator; can’t say I did it justice/will work on it.

Also @mrboatman dont worry I’m ordering screws now for this shipment, and after this one the full sets of fasteners will be here and we will be all good on that front.

Next time I roast coffee I may need to send you some rear coffee.

Hello everyone, we have a new beta tester!

Please give a warm welcome to @bryson , our 6th tester!

Don’t worry mud, I am redoing it with black wheel wells for you. Screws arriving tomorrow and I am picking up here today!

Also going to print everyone some fenders flares.

And WHAT IS THIS? just came out of the oven.

Printing more body parts (like fender flares) and other body parts to complete the 40 over weekend/still trying to add to first shipments.

If you have not sent me your FIRST choice for metallic colors for your body, you need to do so.

Again, metallic colors are:

White
Black
Fluorescent Green
Teal Green
violet
sky blue
yellow
Gold
Copper
Silver
Bronze
Red
Orange

Otherwise I will just begin building and sharing different colors, and you can just let me know if you see something you like.

45 Doors are here:

Messed up the seam on 1 side so it goes into the mud yard for basher kits/spare parts for now.

Update on screws:

Also, all black wheel wells and chassis right everyone? For the formal desktop version.

Basher / weekend warrior we will get to after first one is done (priority on good parts).

Yes please. I am ok with whatever color for the ones that will get beat on.

@SharpeCat what’s the timeline for the 45 conversion again? Thanks!

It began with the 45 Doors that came out today.

And with this spreadsheet i just made. It isn't complete as i need to go back and do some color-coding of the spreadsheet (basically paint in red all the FJ40 parts that become obsolete with the 45 conversion, so that i don't keep printing double rear chassis and etc).

I will make a tab at bottom for each person, and this will give you guys a way to request specific parts/let me know if any missing parts, as well as keep track of current progress of each kit. This will also be the base spreadsheet that i will eventually turn into a csv file to list the FJ parts on my website.

Also, I decided to bump everyone up to 2 machines per mudder for next couple weeks; 1 for filling in missing parts, and another to begin the 45 and hard top conversions for those who requested it. Basically, every machine in my collection is about to go full time into this; they have been close to full time already for past couple weeks.

I need some coffee then ill get started on slicing up the next set of prints (12 prints going in today, 2 per beta tester).

What are the recommended hand tools for assembly?

What are the recommended hand tools for assembly?
Something like this:

Not very powerful because you are drilling into plastic. You will want to avoid hand tightening; 500 fasteners per kit and barely any nuts/washers, all screws. You want to use this to get most of the way as mine isnt that powerful, then hand tighten home stretch.

You can also use your power drill, set to lowest torque. Even then slow down near the end and hand tighten the home stretch. This is my preferred way when doing multiple kits, but i have stripped a few parts during the learning process with the full-size drill. If you end up stripping a part, it's okay; just go up a little in thread size or go longer screw with M2/M3 nut on other end.

There is the option of having me assemble both for you as well. The option to build your own is for those who love to tinker; and for you guys I recommend PETG or PLA+ only for now, as they are much more forgiving and do not snap or crack nearly as easily when drilled into/upon impact. Just feed me coffee and ill be more than happy to assemble extra kits :D.

Right on! You’re rocking it!

And since i only budgeted for 1 set of electronics, if you want your extra kits to also be fully ready to run and want to take advantage of the current group discount, you have 2 options:

1. Share controller and battery between your 2 kits: Add $50 for motor, Receiver, ESC, Tires, Shocks, Fasteners, Bearings., cable connectors, Servo, belts etc.
2. If you want every kit to have their own battery and controllers: $100 per kit. This includes ~10 day ship from china.

And i accept personal donations in the form of coffee and things that help this project; like filament and machines!
